I'm a Clinical Psychologist, licensed in the State of New York, and have over 20 years of experience in successfully helping college students who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, grief & loss, and poor self-esteem. I enjoy working with people from a variety of different backgrounds, identities, and life circumstances. I take the privilege of working with patients very seriously and am committed to providing a consistent, supportive, and productive therapy experience to each of them, in every session. I have specific training in several treatment approaches (Interpersonal therapy, CBT, & contemporary psychodynamic therapy among them), and tailor the work to the particular needs of each patient. Regardless of the approach, however, my goal is always to work together to find practical strategies and solutions we can use to create real, meaningful change. While my experience and training are certainly important to how I approach this work, I believe my genuine personal warmth and natural sense of humor are also central to creating therapy relationships that feel safe and transformative. Healing & Growth Counseling is a group mental health counseling practice providing individual, couples, family, and group counseling in person and online. All of our counselors are trauma-informed. Each clinician has different specialties, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, ADHD, autism, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+, chronic illness/pain, women's concerns, eating disorders, and postpartum concerns. Additionally, for the past eight years, I have taught courses on human behavior and additional topics at SUNY Brockport and Nazareth College allowing me to stay current on mental health research and treatments. I am a psychotherapist (LMFT) and earned my masters at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Since graduating, I have worked in community mental health, helping clients on issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships and specialize in grief work. I am trained in EMDR and Complicated Grief Treatment. I opened Sage Hill Therapy with the hope of creating a place where people can work through difficult experiences.
