As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and art therapist with nearly 10 years of clinical experience, I aim to provide a space where patients feel supported and empowered to explore behaviors, perception, emotional needs, and day-to-day stressors through the use of verbal and creative processes. I specialize in both talk and art therapy to help pre-teens, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, emotional dysregulation, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative and encouraging, designed to let you take the lead to encourage healing. I'm passionate about building a strong therapeutic relationship with you, as I believe this is one of the most fundamental parts of healing and therapeutic growth. Working together, you can expect a warm and supportive environment that uses customized talk therapy and creative arts techniques to help explore patterns, build insight, gently challenge thoughts, and empower you to make meaningful changes. I believe in active, person-centered collaboration and building a strong therapeutic relationship, which allows me to be the supportive partner you need to heal. I look forward to working alongside you and providing ongoing support, collaboration, and encouragement in our work together. My path to becoming a therapist started with community work in high school. Multiple groups I was part of gave me the chance to provide several types of 1:1 services for students. Later, I was able to integrate creative arts into those services and witnessed how doing so can foster a space for creative self-expression and further healing for all ages. This experience deepened my commitment to providing creative and therapeutic services, which now allows me to truly meet my patients where they are with an adjustable and open-minded approach.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who began my professional journey after earning my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Adelphi University in 2020. Learning as I went, the Covid-19 pandemic was a real-world experience that only deepened my commitment to helping others find stability and support through life’s challenges. My experience spans hospital, community, agency, school, and private practice settings, where I've facilitated many individual, group, and family psychotherapy sessions. My approach is rooted in warmth, respect, and collaboration, with the goal of creating a space that feels both safe and empowering. I have experience helping clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, chronic stress, life transitions, and much more. I'm always hoping clients will leave their time with me feeling as if they have developed a new set of tools to navigate the world and build towards a brighter, more balanced future. Working with me feels like being supported by a trusted friend—safe, encouraging, and even a little lighthearted. My style is warm, validating, and genuine, incorporating a mix of Mindfulness and psychoeducation to help you feel understood and empowered. At all times, I believe in empathy and respect, as I see therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we’ll work to better understand challenges, explore new perspectives, and create steps toward healing, growth, and lasting change. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by personal experiences, after witnessing those closest to me face their own struggles. These moments deepened my commitment to better understanding human behavior, sociology, and psychology. Now, I enjoy mixing evidence-based treatments along with authenticity and compassion to help patients know they are not alone. When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me outside! I love yoga, going to concerts and listening to music, bike riding, paddle boarding, and hanging out at the beach. I also enjoy spending time with my wonderful dog and reading – while savoring a delicious cup of coffee.

You’re ready to take the first step but might feel unsure of where to start or how to move forward—and that’s okay. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, life transitions/adjustments, and stress for adults. My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and compassionate to help you in a way that best suits your unique journey. Your story matters, and I’m here to listen, understand, and help you uncover the tools and insights you need to thrive. I specialize in creating a sympathetic space where you can feel safe, valued, and free to explore your challenges without judgment. No two journeys are alike, which is why I provide compassionate therapy tailored to your unique needs, using evidence-based approaches to meet you where you are and ensure you always feel truly seen and heard. These approaches may include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and humanistic therapy. Trust in me to be your guiding force to support you as you navigate challenges, build strength, and find clarity. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and greater balance. My path to becoming a therapist grew from my own experiences with change and healing, which showed me how transformative genuine support can be. This inspired me to provide compassionate, judgment-free care to those in need of the same healing experience. Now, I am honored to bring empathy, curiosity, and a trauma-informed perspective to each session, helping you feel understood and empowered to navigate your unique journey. Outside of work, I enjoy a wide range of hobbies! I love to read, listen to music, spend time in nature, and travel.
Life can feel messy, confusing, and heavy — but you don’t have to carry it alone. Since beginning my work in the mental health field in 2020, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate anxiety, identity, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I truly believe that no one is “too young” or “too much” to deserve support. Whether I’m helping a child make sense of big feelings, supporting a teen through identity exploration, or guiding a young adult through life’s uncertainties, I approach each person with genuine care and curiosity about their unique story. I know it takes courage to reach out for therapy but I’m here to support you every step of the way. When we work together, you can expect a supportive, collaborative experience tailored to your unique needs and goals. I believe healing and growth happen in spaces where you feel truly safe, understood, and never judged. My role is to be a steady, compassionate presence, someone who walks alongside you, helping you make sense of your experiences while gently encouraging growth at a pace that feels right for you. Depending on your needs, our work may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-based strategies, and a variety of other evidence-based techniques. I draw from different approaches so therapy feels personalized and practical, whether we’re building coping skills, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, or working through anxiety and life transitions. Most importantly, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and move toward greater self-acceptance. You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone—I’m here to support you every step of the way. My path to becoming a therapist is deeply personal. It began after experiencing the profound loss of someone who struggled with their mental health and didn’t receive the support they needed. That loss changed me. It opened my eyes to how vital compassionate, accessible care truly is, and it strengthened my commitment to being someone others can turn to without fear, shame, or judgment. Because of that experience, I don’t take this work lightly. I bring empathy, presence, and deep respect for each person’s story into every session. I understand how hard it can be to ask for help, and I’m dedicated to creating a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and supported as you heal. When I’m not in therapist mode, you’ll probably find me at home with my husband and our adorable (and occasionally very dramatic) cat—who definitely believes the world revolves around her. I love experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes (some are winners … some are learning experiences), creating and scrolling TikToks, and keeping up with all things pop culture. If there’s a new hit series, movie, or viral trend, chances are I have thoughts about it. These little everyday joys keep me grounded, balanced, and connected, which I believe makes me a more present and relatable therapist.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) specializing in helping adolescents and adults navigate symptom management and transitional periods associated with depression, anxiety, and life changes. In my care, you are assured of a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space to process present and past stressors, overcome obstacles, and meet goals. My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and genuine, as I am passionate about providing the tools and guidance needed for healing and an improved quality of life. Working together, you heal in a safe, collaborative, and restorative environment that is tailored to your goals and background. I believe in individuality and inclusion, a practice that allows me to incorporate your culture and beliefs into your therapy, while my personal experiences with mental health and cultural background ensure a unique perspective and deep empathy for your needs. Throughout treatment, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered strategies to help you build tools to manage presenting issues. I look forward to fostering a trusting and respectful therapeutic relationship with you. My path to becoming a therapist was born from my drive to help friends sort through and vent their day-to-day issues. What began as a natural act of compassion quickly made me the “therapist” friend and mediator for advice due to a genuine lack of judgment and neutrality. This experience deepened my commitment to providing nonjudgmental care, where I bring openness and empathy to each session. As a therapist, just as I was a kind ear to friends, I am inspired by the resilience of my patients and their commitment to growth. In my free time, I enjoy reading, checking out the latest shows, and spending quality time with my friends and family. You’ll also see me on the courts practicing my tennis game!
As a trauma-informed and holistic therapist with 5 years of experience in various mental health fields, I help adults/older adults navigate past experiences that continue to shape their present. I'm passionate about working with those struggling with negative patterns and attachment wounds in relationships, anxiety and depression, self-worth, or other stressors and life transitions. I take a warm, collaborative, and insightful approach, helping you heal the deepest parts of yourself and reconnect with your inner and outer world in a balanced and flexible way. If you are ready to embark on your healing journey, cultivate a new self and purpose, and do inner work, then you will find my therapeutic space to be purposeful and strength based. I truly believe in collaboration and trust, which helps me be the best clinician I can be for my patients. I look forward to authentic healing, personal wellness, and deeper connections in our work together. When working with me, you can expect a therapist who dives beneath the surface to discover the root of your concerns. I primarily take a psychodynamic approach, combined with evidence-based modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for deep insight and practical tools. My style is warm, inquisitive, and integrative, as no unique individual is one-size-fits-all. Above all else, I am committed to walking alongside you in the difficult yet transformative moments of your life, and look forward to the authentic healing, personal wellness, and deeper connection in our work together. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own life experiences combined with a passion for all things psychology starting from an early age. This passion built my pillars of care – collaboration and trust, which helped me be the best clinician I can be for you and all my patients. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my fiancé, family, and friends, including my two cats, who are my best buddies! I’m also a huge foodie who loves to try new restaurants and cuisines, as well as travel, exercise (in the gym or outside in nature), and binge watch my favorite nerdy movies and TV shows.
Are you struggling with relationships, trauma, or self-compassion? As humans, we want to connect and feel a sense of safety, security, and curiosity about ourselves and the world around us. Together we can work to overcome past hurt and present-day anxieties to build stronger connections and live more fully. As a relational therapist, my goal is to build a genuine, collaborative relationship with my clients where we work together to explore experiences, set meaningful goals, and experiment with new ways being. I use a blend of methodologies tailored to each client's needs, drawing from training in EMDR, IFS, Gottman, EFT, AEDP, and Somatic approaches. Let’s talk about where you are in your journey and how we can work together to achieve your goals.
Every individual has a unique set of strengths and experiences. Making home, school and work happy, safe and successful requires harnessing existing skills, building new strengths, and carefully navigating challenges. I bring a holistic approach to helping foster positive social, emotional, and behavioral well-being across settings. Through my work with children, young adults, parents, school staff, and therapeutic providers, I understand the nuances necessary for successful growth. I offer a safe and trusting environment, where clients explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are impacting their lives and make intentional changes to achieve their goals. I bring extensive counseling and assessment experience. In addition to private therapy, I have extensive experience working with grades K-12 through school-based mental health counseling centers and special education programs designed for students who need additional learning, emotional, and / or behavioral supports.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I help diverse populations from various cultural, socioeconomic, and spiritual backgrounds navigate a wide range of stressors. I work particularly well with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating life transitions, identity development, self-esteem, stress/anxiety, trauma, and loneliness. My own experience with an amazing therapist taught me the value of providing sensitive, compassionate care. That’s why it remains my mission to offer a safe, supportive space for every patient, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks, to ensure everyone feels seen. If you are feeling overwhelmed or “stuck in a rut,” or need support in reconnecting with your life/life purpose, then please reach out today to start your healing journey. It takes courage to ask for support, and I applaud you for taking that step. When you’re ready, I’m here to listen deeply and offer guidance and tools that will help you navigate life’s challenges. I create a space where you can be your authentic self, free from shame or criticism. Working with me is safe, collaborative, and like having a “professional friend.” Whether you’re looking to work through specific challenges or simply want to understand yourself better, I provide the compassionate, open-minded, and client-centered approach that helps you achieve your goals. I utilize a mix of evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and an overall holistic view of healthcare to personalize treatment, steering clear of clinical coldness and accepting you exactly where you are. Working together, you’ll achieve self-discovery, healing, and growth so you can lead a more fulfilling life. At the young age of 13, I required emergency heart surgery, an event that shaped my future in unexpected ways. At that time, I felt like I had nobody I could talk to about how anxious I was, and most doctors dismissed my concerns because I was young. This experience started me on the path to becoming a therapist, deepening my commitment to making sure that all of my patients feel respected, engaged, and listened to. I want you to know that you are not broken and that you have everything you need within yourself to heal and thrive. I consider myself a lifetime learner and am always looking for ways to improve myself and the world around me. Whether I’m reading, writing, listening to music, watching movies and documentaries, hanging out with friends and family, or exploring new restaurants and places, I’m embarking on my pursuit of making the most out of every chapter of my life!
Whether you are struggling with relationships, overwhelmed by academic stress, or feeling anxious or depressed, I can help you gain valuable perspective and learn coping skills to better manage your own challenges and live your best life. I am keenly aware of the pressures and stressors that teens, college students, and young adults endure today. It’s important to find balance in caring for yourself and navigating the competitive environment we live in with greater ease and self-confidence. My approach to therapy helps teens, college students and young adults gain an understanding into their thoughts and behaviors. We will spend time discussing experiences in your past that might be contributing to how you are feeling. Gaining insight into why certain things are happening can be incredibly impactful in helping you make long-term positive change. Through the convenience of teletherapy, we’ll work together to explore and process difficult emotions in a safe environment. We’ll focus on anxious thoughts and unhelpful behavioral patterns, and you’ll develop new strategies to reduce anxiety and stress that can be used throughout your life.
College can be exciting and full of possibility — but it can also feel lonely, overwhelming, and heavier than you expected. Maybe you’re adjusting to life away from home, missing family, navigating a breakup, feeling isolated, or carrying the quiet weight of a loss or grief you didn’t anticipate. These transitions can stir up more emotion than most people talk about, and you don’t have to handle that on your own. I’m Deb, and I work with college students who want a safe, steady space to sort through what they’re feeling and make sense of this season of life. My approach is warm, patient, and grounded. Together, we’ll slow things down, talk honestly about what’s been hard, and build practical ways to cope, connect, and move forward with more clarity and confidence. Whether you’re grieving, stressed, or simply feeling alone, therapy can be a place where you feel understood and supported — not judged or rushed. If you’re looking for someone to walk alongside you as you navigate college and everything that comes with it, I’d be honored to meet you there.
College is a season of growth — but it can also feel overwhelming, uncertain, and lonely at times. If you’re feeling stressed, stuck, or unsure of who you’re becoming, you’re not alone. Therapy can be a place to slow down, sort through what’s weighing on you, and build a clearer, steadier sense of yourself. I work with college students and young adults who want more than just coping — they want to understand themselves, feel more grounded, and move through life with greater confidence and purpose. My style is warm, practical, and collaborative. You won’t be judged or analyzed from a distance. Instead, we’ll talk honestly about what’s happening in your life and find tools that actually help. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in the professional world. That experience helps me understand the pressures many students feel about performance, career direction, and “what’s next.” I bring that real-world perspective into our work, helping you connect what you’re learning now with the life you’re building beyond college. Therapy doesn’t require you to have everything figured out — just a willingness to show up. If you’re looking for a steady, supportive space to think clearly, grow, and move forward, I’d be glad to walk alongside you.
Hello! I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with young adults, LGBTQ+ people (especially trans and non-binary), trauma, and emotional instability. My clients often come from backgrounds where they feel misunderstood and invalidated. They sometimes feel frustrated with their important relationships, or like they're stuck on an emotional roller coaster, or like they have trouble relaxing and feeling safe. In therapy, I create an accepting, non-judgmental environment where my clients can feel truly seen. From there, I help clients understand themselves, what they want to change in their lives, and how to reach their goals. I completed my training at college counseling centers and a hospital program serving college students. I know the challenges college students face, and I love helping students overcome those challenges. If you think we might be a good fit for therapy, please reach out! I offer free 15 minute consultation calls for anyone interested. I am currently offering therapy in person in Berkeley, CA on Saturdays and over Zoom Tuesday-Saturday in California, New York, and Virginia.
