My name is Fernanda Alves and I am originally from Brazil, where I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2006. After graduating, I immigrated to the US to pursue my master's degree in mental health, which I completed in 2012. Since then, I have worked as an outpatient therapist for two nonprofit organizations, where I obtained experience working with children, adolescents, and families. At the beginning of 2020, I opened my practice, where I have been working with children, adolescents and adults. As someone who has attended counselling myself for anxiety and ADHD, I noticed that plain “talk therapy” was not the most effective method for so many of us, so with that in mind, I developed a goal-oriented, evidence-based approach with my clients that allows them to develop tools to accept life’s challenges while moving towards their values and goal. Instead of focusing on WHY you can't accomplish something, I will help you focus on HOW by giving you productive solutions and strategies.
We are a neuropsychology practice that specializes in providing assessments for adults 16 and up. Our providers have been in clinical practice for over 35 years . The range of presenting issues for assessment include ADHD, Dementia, short-term memory changes, concentration difficulties, depression/anxiety, substance use, traumatic brain injury, learning disability, occupational/educational difficulties, movement disorders, stroke, seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, other psychiatric disorders, and other contributing factors that affect day to day functioning. Patients are either referred by their physicians or are self-referred. A neuropsychological evaluation is a set of diagnostic interviews and test procedures used to assess cognitive and baseline functioning. It makes use of standardized tests to measure mental abilities including attention, concentration, memory and learning, language, visual-spatial abilities, organization, planning, problem solving, and executive functioning. The pattern of cognitive strengths and weaknesses can be diagnostic and often correlates with specific regions of the brain. Neuropsychological evaluation can help clarify the effects of the disorder on cognitive functioning and is helpful in developing specific recommendations for treatment and rehabilitation.

We all have a unique story to tell. Our stories need witnessing, understanding, and even transformation. I believe that therapy provides such a transformative space. It is only in telling our stories, slowing down and recognizing our automatic thoughts and responses that we can reveal our unique inner resources and the truth that we already have everything we need to embrace lives of connection, health, and purpose. It is a creative and collaborative endeavor, navigating internal and external struggles, organizing thoughts and feelings, identifying patterns, and being curious about our own (and each other’s ’) stories. In the past twenty years I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults coping with with anxiety, depression, domestic violence, grief and trauma. Working with adolescent and young adult females struggling with mental health issues, especially those related to self esteem, identity, and the complicated transition to adulthood is a particular passion. I use a blend of clinical modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS); Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and other mind/body techniques; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT

I’m Whitney, and I help individuals and couples understand how the past may be influencing their present, and how to build the value-driven, fulfilling life they deserve. Many people who have experienced trauma feel as if they simply cannot be helped. Perhaps you’ve tried traditional talk therapy and felt that it didn’t quite move the needle—because trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. While talk therapy can be valuable, it may only skim the surface, leaving you feeling isolated or hopeless. By integrating EMDR, IFS, and somatic-focused approaches, I help clients develop greater awareness of the root causes of their pain while providing practical tools for lasting change. As an LGBTQIA+ clinician who has personally experienced and healed from multiple forms of trauma, I’ve dedicated my career to creating a space for discovery, compassion, and transformation. I know what it feels like to feel broken or alone—to believe your past determines your future. When you work with me, you won’t get a clinician who simply nods and validates—you’ll work with someone who’s lived it, who gets it, and who will collaborate with you to find enduring peace and clarity.
People have the capacity for incredible growth and positive change when they create genuine connections that allow them to feel seen and heard. If you are stuck in unhelpful patterns, or feel that you lack the tools and skills to make the changes you want in life, I am here to help. My clients struggle with family issues, existential concerns, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal ideation, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma. My approach is person-centered and relational, and I also pull from modalities such as CBT, DBT, and ACT. I am affirming to marginalized identities, and have additional training on transgender youth and health. Sessions with me feel supportive and compassionate, but I will also challenge you to identify and outgrow thoughts and behaviors that are no longer serving you. Let’s figure this out together.
All sessions are now offered through video or phone during covid 19 crisis. I try to be a compassionate, active listener to help identify solutions to areas of difficulty and help you transform, grow and develop in a new positive direction. When there is an interest, I integrate the mind/body connection, mindfulness meditation, and spirituality into the therapeutic process. I have many years experience with a range of different issues. Looking forward to meeting you and being of service.
Hi! I’m Dr. Rey Junco. If you’re a college student feeling the weight of high expectations, academic burnout, or the lingering sting of past experiences, I want you to know that you don’t have to carry it all alone. As someone who spent most of my life in academia—holding faculty positions at places like Harvard and Oxford and working in college counseling centers for 13 years—I truly "get" the unique pressure of being a high achiever. I know what it’s like to look successful on the outside while struggling with self-doubt, anxiety, or the feeling that you aren’t making "real" progress. My approach is built for students who are tired of just talking about their problems and want to actually feel better. I specialize in evidence-based, results-oriented techniques like EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). These aren’t your typical "sit and talk for years" methods; they are designed to help you process trauma and anxiety more deeply and efficiently so you can regain your confidence and focus on your future. I also have a deep background in researching how technology and social media impact our mental health. Whether you’re struggling with "tech fatigue," insomnia (I’m certified in CBT-I), or the complexities of modern relationships, I provide a non-judgmental, warm space tailored to your specific goals. As a survivor of childhood trauma myself, I’m not just a doctor with a degree; I’m someone who understands the frustration of trying to get better and not knowing where to start. If you’re ready to break the cycle of feeling stuck and want to rediscover your sense of joy and self, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to get you back to living the life you deserve.
