I approach my clients from where they are coming from and what their needs are. While my specialty is trauma, depression, and anxiety, I hold a safe space for any needs. Together we will work to integrate what brings you into therapy. I believe diversity is a strength. Being Latina has helped me see this first hand. I use a multicultural point of view with an intercultural understanding. My pronouns are she/her, I am cishet, and I believe in respect for all people.

Hello, I'm Mercy, a mother and a wife. Life is a continuous journey that has no end until we take our last breath! While we partake in this journey, it is well known that it can be challenging. However, one has the power to ease the pain associated with this journey through understanding when help is needed, seeking the help, and being open to accepting the support. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado in 2006 and my master’s degree in counseling in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix, Colorado Springs campus in 2012. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado and Arizona. Over the course of my clinical career, I have worked and trained in residential treatment and community mental health centers including department of corrections and private practice. I consider myself a lifelong learner and crave learning new information. Due to my intensive training in Marriage and Family Therapy in graduate school, I have made this area my primary passion and focus. I have participated in extensive postgraduate training in addictions. However, I also greatly enjoy providing individual and group counseling for children and adults who are looking for support with more mild life stressors such as depression, anxiety, parenting education, health and wellness, and behavioral struggles. I specialize in family relationships, multicultural/diversity issues, grief/bereavement, depression, anxiety, anger management, and spirituality. I approach my work with a sense of humor, respect, humility, and honesty. I am honored to join my clients in their individual journeys towards wellness, leading to their brighter future. If you're ready to take the next step on your journey, I would be honored to support you along the way. Let's work together to create a brighter future.

I believe that therapy is a unique experience that provides a safe place to assist in acknowledging resiliency, providing hope and cultivating healing and growth within individuals and interpersonal relationships. All clients come in with their own personality, strengths, struggles, and differing walks of life. In order to match this, I operate from a person-centered approach and emphasize each individual’s strengths to empower and challenge them to grow while assisting in defining their own goals and successes. While I have experience in working with individuals, couples and families, I have found that my passion lies within helping adolescents and young adults navigate the challenges that naturally come along with this exciting, yet stressful season of life. As many clients come to therapy not of their own choosing or with skepticism, I place emphasis on building a therapeutic relationship with validation, trust, accountability, candid feedback and a little bit of humor as needed! Enough about me, I can't wait to learn more about you! -Ashley

I help Gen-Z and Millennials (15-40 years old) who know in their gut that something is not right with their life to reclaim purpose, find clear direction, and make positive change. If you are feeling lost, excessive stress or overwhelmed, it may not be your fault. Most of us have not been taught how to effectively deal with the stressors and demands of the modern world. You may have tried using self-help books or social media to relieve feelings of discomfort, but continue to struggle nevertheless. Through working together, you will learn new powerful and sustainable tools to thrive and flourish. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addiction Counselor, and master-level trained mindfulness instructor. My unique approach uses evidenced-based skills that help you learn how to cope with adversity, stressors, and the demands of life. These tools will quickly help you to flourish in work, dating, relationships, school and other facets of your life. I will bring authenticity, honesty, and comic relief to the healing work we do together. I welcome you to call me for an initial 15 min complimentary consultation, and take the next step on your courageous path to change.

It's been an endless search for a therapist who really gets you. Someone who can dive into your problems without making you feel you have to compartmentalize important parts of your life. Someone who can be a safe sounding board whatever comes up. I want you to know it's ok to show up however you're feeling that day. It's ok to open up at your own pace. I will be right here beside you as you discover unique pathways towards resilience, fulfillment and fun. I center the needs of non-binary & other LGBTQ people in my practice. I help people navigate: stress management and resilience; emotional impact of chronic illness; family of origin issues; and enhancing fulfillment in all sorts of relationships through increased self-knowledge, communication, and collaboration. I believe therapy is most effective when it is a dynamic, collaborative process that integrates the wisdom of our body, mind and spiritual self. I use various approaches including Brainspotting, Heartmath, and mindfulness-based somatic therapy, that allow us to access the deep healing potential of brain, body and mind. A need to always look put-together and strong can be destructive and exhausting. It seems like the harder you try, the harder it gets. The pressure to appear “all good” invalidates the emotions we all experience as human beings. Living in a culture of toxic positivity only reinforces the idea that negative thoughts and feelings are somehow inherently unhealthy. In therapy, outdated notions are challenged and you will not be invalidated for feeling…anything. Many of my clients have internalized beliefs about who they should and shouldn’t be- and most of these beliefs are false. Therapy is a non-judgmental space where you can truly express yourself without fear of being judged or shamed. Many of the clients I work with identify with being anxious, perfectionists who want better relationships. I also work with adults who know or think they may be on the autism spectrum. Overall, therapy can be great tool to get a better grip on life as well as for treating a specific diagnosis.. Whatever your background, your struggles, your ambitions, we will work together. Feeling better is within reach.

Hi there, if you've been struggling with difficult thoughts and feelings it's possible that they've felt like barriers to doing the things that are important to you. Therapy can help by first identifying what these barriers are, and making a plan for getting you back to activities that create meaning in your life. I provide individual psychotherapy in a warm, encouraging, and collaborative style. I use a blend of techniques that are backed by research to ensure you're getting the best care possible. If you're unsure about therapy please contact me for a free consultation call to see if we might be a good fit. From there if we decide to work together we can begin treatment by identifying what your struggle has been, and how we can get you back to living the life you want. I look forward to speaking with you soon!

I am a religious trauma therapist in Denver. Recovering from conservative religion can leave you questioning who you are, what you believe, and how to trust yourself. Maybe you're stuck in perfectionism, constantly thinking, “I’m not good enough,” leading you to isolate from others or hold yourself back from your goals. Maybe you have trouble making decisions because you believe you can't trust your instincts. You might not remember a time when things felt different. But you’re ready for relief: a kinder inner voice, more joy, and a deeper connection to your authentic self. You’re ready to feel confident, not because you’re perfect, but because you’re finally free to be you. As an experienced self-worth, anxiety, and trauma therapist, I believe you can untangle the messages from your past that are holding you back. You don’t have to keep making yourself small and you don’t have to do the work alone. Visit my website to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can discuss how I can help.

A lot of people say they knew at a young age they would be a therapist, but that wasn’t me. I grew up in a military family and thought I would continue that tradition and be a stay-at-home mom. Instead, I found myself in a journalism career and a marriage I didn’t like. Starting over after 30, I chose to return to school and pursue a degree in social work. Since then, I’ve worked with the military, in inpatient facilities, and in outpatient care. I love working with women who find themselves “outside the box” when it comes to societal expectations (child-free/childless, unmarried, or just a-plain-ol’ rebel). I love to focus on resiliency, self-improvement/self-esteem, personal growth, and even a bit of spirituality (if that's your thing). I'm a very laid-back, nontraditional therapist. I believe you are the expert in your own life and, sometimes, we just need some guidance or permission to do the things we know we need to do. I don't assign homework cause, frankly, I wouldn't do it if I were in your shoes, but I will suggest some tasks or actions that may be something to focus on between sessions. I also expect clients to show up with a discussion topic or something to start us off with; again, the time is yours to use as you feel best. I have very eclectic interests. Two things that are very important to me are spirituality and non-traditional relationships. I feel both have their own challenges and prejudices to overcome. I'm always looking for ways to include and incorporate my client's spiritual beliefs (if they choose to share) into sessions and help them build a strong foundation. Nontraditional relationships (including kink dynamics) can be a challenge to bring to therapy as there's often a perceived level of judgment—not here! I celebrate however your relationship looks and work to help you create the most nurturing and healthy relationship however that looks. One of my core values is curiosity, so I love it when I get to learn a little something from my clients. Having grown up in a military family that moved every three years like clockwork, learning about people and cultures has been a huge part of my life. I encourage my clients to practice showing and embodying their authenticity with me so they may go out into the world more confidently. I believe we all have something beautiful to share and learn from each other and I encourage those I work with to explore that on a deeper level.
