My therapeutic approach centers on the holistic well-being of individuals, with a particular focus on working with millennial female clients. My aim is to facilitate, through a strengths-based approach, your therapeutic journey towards enhanced well-being and deeper insight into your thoughts and behaviors (as well as understanding the roots of our cognitive and behavioral patterns). While my therapeutic toolbox encompasses Reiki, EMDR, IFS, and mindfulness techniques, I customize therapy sessions to suit each individual, allowing for flexibility beyond these established frameworks. I'm licensed in CO, TX, MT, OR, ID, WY, WA, and FL.

I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) as my primary modality. IFS provides an opportunity to look inside yourself and learn why you do the things you do, think the way you think, and how all the parts of you work together. You will learn how to listen to, and learn from, those nagging voices in your head. Once we start listening and learning, a depth of understanding will occur that allows for healing of wounds and releasing of inaccurate beliefs about yourself.

During the first session, our goal is to start to get to know you, what’s important to you, what you’re experiencing, what may still be lingering from the past, what your strengths and resources are, and to set some initial goals for our work together. Based on the initial session and our collaborative conversation, we will have some ideas as to the approaches that will be likely to help you achieve the change you’re striving for. Our varied educational and professional backgrounds mean that we’re ready to help a wide variety of clients. We utilize a variety of approaches and techniques that will work for YOU, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, existential therapy, emotion-focused couples therapy, and others. All of our work is trauma-informed.

Many different disorders can be improved or be eliminated by using neurofeedback. First a QEEG is collected. This involves placing a cap on the client’s head and collecting brain wave information from 19 specific sites. This information is processed, and a brain map is produced. The therapist then evaluates the data, completes a comprehensive health history, and then based on both symptoms and goals, develops an individualized protocol of successive neurotherapy sessions. Treatment is noninvasive, is not painful, but does require a commitment. Just as you must work out your body consistently to see results, neurofeedback sessions must be completed two to three times a week to be beneficial. The neurofeedback treatments involve placing sensors on the scalp. The sensors pick up brainwave signals which are first amplified and then filtered through software that works with a computer to generate real time feedback. The brain activity is either increased or decreased in the identified areas until the optimal balance is achieved The typical treatment plan will vary from individual to individual, but most common disorders can be resolved in about 40 sessions.

YOU matter. As do your stories of grief and loss, trauma, identity questions, anxiety and stress.... All of these things are such human struggles and yet, are so disregarded, often misunderstood, and can even be painfully disrespected. So much so that it can be really hard to know where to start or how to navigate through them. When working together with me: - FIRST, you'll be believed. - Then, through earned trust, safety, and collaboration, we'll work together to help you gain new insights and tools toward a sense of relief and wellness. I provide individual and group therapy and offer both in person and telehealth options through Ellie Mental Health. (In person options are either in Aurora or Lakewood!) You can reach out to me directly OR you can visit the website and find my bio and schedule with me through the search filters.

Hi my name is Lucinda and I work with traditional, non-traditional, and first-generation students who are struggling with adjusting to college life, anxiety, significant life transitions, and grief/loss. Becoming a therapist is my second career. I graduated from MSU Denver with my Masters of Social Work and I'm a Clinical Social Work Candidate working towards full licensure as an LCSW. My first career was working in higher education for 14 years, mostly as an Academic Advisor. I understand how difficult it can be to attend college right out of high school or going back after a long break. It can be stressful. I want to help you navigate the uncertainties that life will throw your way while in school, while at the same time being able to be successful in achieving your academic and life goals. Let's connect and see how I can help you overcome anything that may be holding you back from the life you deserve.

If you’re fighting anxiety, ADHD or trauma, I want to help you. You deserve support (and joy!), and you don’t have to go through this alone. Constant negative thoughts and relationship patterns can trick us into that nothing has ever helped and nothing will. Together, we can pinpoint where you want to grow, and what’s been getting in your way. If you’re sick of feeling constantly exhausted, distracted, drained, numb, empty, restless, or irritable, therapy can help. I am an expert in helping teens and adults tackle seasons of life that are especially tough. I support people struggling with racing thoughts, constant worry, freezing or lashing out, feeling edgy, compulsive rituals, or the need for “just right.” You already do so much for everyone—let me help you. Starting therapy can feel terrifying. Finding the right therapist is essential! But research proves even severe anxiety or trauma can improve with therapy. With effective support and your willingness to try, change will happen. Call or email TODAY - I offer in-person and virtual sessions!

utilize a wide range of theories and approaches to provide insights into your psyche and teach skills to help address those revelations. Using primarily Psychoanalytical and psychodynamic therapy, I look at how your unconscious thoughts and perceptions developed throughout your childhood, and how this may affect your current behavior and thoughts. I also use Holistic psychotherapy which is an integrative approach grounded in psychosynthesis. This focuses on the relationship between mind, body, and spirit and explores how issues in one aspect of your life can lead to concerns in other areas. Unlike other forms of therapy, these methods help create deep-seated changes in your emotional development. We all have a part of our psyche that helps us to heal, grow, and thrive; sometimes we lose touch with that part of ourselves. We can feel lost, disconnected, anxious, or depressed. While working collaboratively and genuinely, we can discover what works and what doesn't work for you. By crafting a unique treatment plan that draws upon various theories and approaches such as, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness, Play Therapy Approaches, Existential Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Sandtray Therapy we can explore more ways to help create a deeper understanding.
