If you've ever felt misunderstood, struggled with recognizing your worth, grappled with questions about your identity, or faced challenges in relationships, we're here to listen to you. If you find yourself weighed down by deep-seated emotional experiences, memories that are confusing, unclear, conflicted, or downright painful, we can help you. We understand the importance of processing and unpacking trauma. Sometimes you need to explore the deepest and darkest aspects of your experiences in order to find the inner strength that will push you forward. These moments can produce actual healing and growth which occurs most often in a safe therapeutic relationship with a therapist who listens carefully and responds with genuine acceptance and empathic understanding. Our approach centers on you, providing a nurturing environment where you can delve not only into topics like self-image, self-esteem, sexual and gender identity, and relationship difficulties, but also into those complex emotions and memories that might be lurking beneath the surface. Those who find our approach most beneficial often seek a space where they're free to be themselves without fear of judgment, a place to sift through their emotional landscapes with care and attention. If you're looking for a therapeutic experience where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore your emotions, memories, and challenges at your own pace, then our client-centered approach might just be the right fit for you. Our psychologists offer individual, family, relationship and sex therapy that is affirming and sensitive to all aspects of diversity. We also offer affordable neuropsychological assessment and evaluations for attention, memory, learning, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and Autism. If you are uninsured or paying out of pocket, please ask us about sliding scale fee options for students so we can accommodate your needs.
“What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” -Mary Oliver I've been thinking about this every day since the first time I read it (or rather the first time it smacked me in the face, oh, so many years ago). It's some question, isn't it? Sometimes it inspires me. Sometimes it frightens me. Since it always challenges me, I've rooted my practice philosophy in it. It's kind of like the adult version of 'what do you want to be when you grow up'? How in the world do we answer that? If the question moves you like it does me then we're probably a good fit. Let's talk about the complexities of making life choices and finding fulfillment.
My name is Kaite (they/them), and I am a queer, neurodivergent, nonbinary therapist. I specialize in working with other queer and neurodiverse individuals to heal from trauma, manage depression and anxiety, and find ways to thrive in a world that was not designed with you in mind. I help by utilizing a variety of approaches in my practice, working with you to find strategies and techniques that align with your goals. I am trained in EMDR and CPT, but I also use DBT, MBCBT, ACT, IFS, somatic techniques, and artistic expression as modalities to help you reprocess and heal from trauma. In our first few sessions, you can expect a therapeutic space that is empowering, sensitive to your needs, and based on collaboration rather than looking at you as a problem to be fixed. My practice is unique because I approach healing from a holistic framework that takes all of your identities, experiences, and goals in mind rather than choosing a one size fits all approach. I am passionate about this work because I also know what it’s like to struggle after experiencing trauma, especially when trying to navigate complex medical systems where other providers do not look or experience the world like you do. I firmly stand with all marginalized groups and actively work within an antiracist, feminist, neurodiverse, and gender-affirming lens. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your continued journey towards mental wellbeing!
We know therapy can be nerve-wracking and sometimes awkward, so our approach is rooted in best practices while also being super person-centered. This human first angle will most likely include comfortable conversation, humor, and slight ADHD trains of thought. Our goal is to model authenticity which means, no poker faces over here! Think less suit and tie, more hoodies and pixie dust (or whatever your vibe is). Here, we want to connect with you in a unique way that gives you the empowerment and unnecessary permission to be the you-est you! We want to hear all about your quirky or nerdy hobbies and interests, help analyze those darn complicated relationships and existential thoughts we all have, and encourage you to vent, laugh, cry, cuss, and just breathe.
My name is Carissa Weber. I am an outdoor enthusiast dedicated to helping others return to enjoying their own lives. As a therapist, I use a blend of treatment modalities, neuroscience, and sarcasm to help clients build on their strengths to rediscover who they are. When we work together, you will have a safe place to share your experience in a judgment-free zone. Rather than "jump to conclusions'' and make uncomfortable treatment recommendations to you after the first session, I will take time to get to know who you are, understand what you are facing, and help you explore ways to relieve your anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. I’ve worked to create the kind of non-judgmental therapy space where I’d want to find myself as a client—where one can ugly cry & make dark-humored jokes within the same session.

My personal passion is connecting with those who feel like no one really understands them. I can empathize, as several times in my life I have had those very same feelings. My goal is to help and inspire those who feel disconnected and struggling in life. I aspire to help my clients feel satisfaction, comfort, and joy. With years of experience providing therapy for members of the LGBTQ+ community, clients struggling with spirituality, sexuality, or addiction(s); these topics are my passion and where I have been able to help others navigate. I have real-life experiences such as serving in the military, some trauma, and chronic illness and pain. I have over 20 years’ experience with both civilian and government positions in the fields of Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Child Advocacy, Chronic Illness and Counseling/Educational program delivery to the community. My focus is to help you through growth, change and resolution. Your journey is as distinctive as you are.
Our mission is to support the well-being of individuals and families by offering accessible, high-quality care in a warm and welcoming environment. Over the past eight years I have worked in the mental health field in a variety of capacities, including inpatient units, residential facilities, and day treatment settings. My experience and training with children, adults, and families in these settings has given me a practical knowledge and understanding when working alongside my clients to facilitate change. A significant part of my experience has been working with adults and children coping with past trauma to safely express their anger, manage their depression, and navigate difficult life events. I strive to meet my clients and their families in the circumstances that they are in and make a collaborative effort to overcome the challenges they face. Each client's history, perspective, and relationships are different which is why I believe each therapeutic approach should be unique to the client. In addition to outpatient therapy, I work part time with the social services department at Rogers Behavioral Health. Forming relationships with clients and being witness to their progress and resiliency is something that has been rewarding. Outside of work I enjoy playing ultimate Frisbee, hiking, reading, and swimming.

My name is Bintou Schoen and I am a board certified general adult psychiatrist. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background working with people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, psychosis, social anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship problems, etc. I received my undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. I then attended the Medical College of Georgia where I obtained my medical degree. After that, I received my psychiatric training at the University of South Florida in Tampa Florida. I very much like a positive and practical approach to mental health treatment including medication management and therapy. I think it is important to find balance in your life and it starts with improving self-esteem and good self care. I like a person centered approach meaning finding solutions that work for you based on your values and priorities.
