My clients don't come to therapy to hear someone nod and agree with everything they say. That isn't worth their time or money. They want real help. They want to know "what to do" and "how to fix it" because they are struggling with depression, severe anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, suicidal thoughts, parenting issues, and other painful situations. They're looking for a true expert that they can actually talk to. I am a member of PSYPACT which means I can see clients in every state that is a member of PSYPACT. I'm also licensed in both TN and MA. I'm a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician and an expert in Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, self-harm, and oppositional adolescents. I am an Associate faculty member at Vanderbilt University and have served as a trainer and consultant for a variety of hospitals, schools, and the military. I founded and own PSYCHē, PLLC, a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT skills groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. New members can begin right away! Visit www.psychepllc.com/groups for more information about groups, meeting times, or to enroll online. Changing people's lives for the better is my life's purpose and where I get a sense of meaning. I love my job :) I look forward to meeting you.

Do you identify as gender diverse (transgender, non-binary, gender queer, etc)? Are currently questioning or discovering your gender and/or needing a referral letter for medical transition steps? Jack Garner, LCSW is a licensed clinical therapist in the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Illinois and is a member of WPATH. Their practice is offered online where they provide individual counseling and coaching as well as referral letters for medical transition steps, such as HRT and surgeries (Note, all WPATH referral letters are provided under the informed consent model - meaning NO gate-keeping practices and it takes just one session to obtain your letter). I identify as gender diverse (AFAB, Non-Binary, Transmasc), which allows me to have a unique understanding, both personal and professional, that is not often found in the therapy world. I am passionate about serving our community and understand what it is like to question your gender, experience dysphoria, and take medical transition steps. If you are looking for a therapist who truly understands you and has 'been there' themselves - I am here for you! I look forward to meeting you and will absolutely consider it my honor to assist you in discovering and/or furthering your path to authenticity, wholeness, and joy. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should feel safe, human, and a little less intimidating. I earned my MSW from the University of Memphis and have worked in a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, and residential programs. I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can talk openly, at your own pace, without judgment. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and build practical tools for real life. I work by meeting you exactly where you are, taking into account your life, relationships, and environment—not just the problem you’re facing. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical coping skills. Our work is collaborative, supportive, and paced to fit you I want you to know that whatever brought you here matters. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or just not quite yourself, you’re not alone—and there’s nothing “wrong” with needing support. So many people carry heavy things quietly, telling themselves they should be able to handle it all. You don’t have to.

Hi! My work as a therapist is a blending of psychology and philosophy, and commonly covers religious trauma and deconstruction, LGBTQ+ clients, self-esteem & shame, relationship issues & couples therapy, life transitions, ENM clients, anxiety & obsessive thoughts, and many more areas. I welcome the opportunity to work with anyone who is curious about their experience and interested in change. I recognize the profound courage it takes to confront one’s inner world, and I strive to create a safe, affirming, and open space for genuine exploration. If you’re seeking meaningful conversations about the essence and complexity of being human and what it is to be a conscious animal on a giant rock flying through space, I am the therapist for you. I am a compassionate therapist, here to listen, understand, and guide individuals on their journey toward acceptance and change. My mission is to support clients in their quest for growth, self-discovery, and transformation, and to to help clients confront and embrace the inherent uncertainties of life, fostering resilience and a deeper sense of purpose.

College can be one of the most exciting—and overwhelming—seasons of life. Between academic pressure, changing friendships, family expectations, relationships, and figuring out who you are, it’s easy to feel stressed, anxious, or unsure of yourself. You don’t have to navigate that alone. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience supporting teens and young adults through life’s transitions. My approach is strength-based and relationship-focused, meaning I see you as more than your stress, anxiety, or struggles. Together, we’ll build on the strengths you already have while developing practical tools to help you manage overwhelming thoughts, regulate emotions, and feel more confident in your decisions. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies to help you better understand your thought patterns, cope with stress, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. My style is laid back, supportive, and collaborative—I want therapy to feel like a safe space where you can be honest, ask hard questions, and explore who you’re becoming without judgment. Whether you’re feeling anxious about school, struggling with motivation, dealing with relationship conflict, navigating self-worth, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you as you build clarity, resilience, and confidence in this season of life.

With nearly 20 years of experience as a mental health counselor, I bring a compassionate, easy-going approach to therapy, creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their challenges and build resilience. Our office follows safety protocol with any sickness for safety and we also have online resources to provide therapy to our clients. The first assessment is in person but then all other sessions can be online, or face to face! AdvancedMD is for telehealth services; but this will need an appointment and then our clients do receive the link to my platform and guidelines to ensure effective sessions. My other counselors have their own links and this will be provided. Our counselors have no less than a Masters degree and above. We offer Spanish and English. We have one counselor who is African American, one from the UK, and 6 counselors total, along with a Spanish translator receptionist. Our receptionists are a mix of male and female and race backgrounds. I am an alumni from UTC where I graduated with highest honors with my Bachelors in Science, Psychology degree. And I graduated with a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand University. I graduated with 4.0 GPA. I had lived through many transitions in my life and have that experience along with my educational experience that fuels my knowledge, and although both are vast; they pale to my heart that seeks to help. I have served 9 counties providing CCFT, Outpatient, Crisis Intervention, and more. I possess over 80 specialized certificates. My team are as remarkable! We are all versed with specialties and work with ages 4-100! We use CBT, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, MATRIX, EFT, Gestalt, REMT, Motivational Interview, DBT, Brainspotting, hypnosis, and many other modalities and are always learning new ones. When I began college it was 8 years after high school and I was married. I was anxious that I may not be able to get the degrees that I wanted after being out of school for so long, but I was experiencing childlessness and wanted to be a mother. Keeping busy was something that I needed due to major depression. We did not have free college opportunities then, so I had to make the grades in order to finance this endeavor. This became a goal which required good study habits and commitment. I attended a community college first, then UTC, and then I completed my masters at Grand Canyon University with a 4.0 GPA. This paid for all of the undergraduate work but not for my Master's, which landed me in debt, but I survived. I have been an entrepreneur for 4 decades of various specialties, and have worn many hats. I love music, art, and journalism which have become most beneficial. I have written 37 songs and intend to write a book soon. I went through 6 surgeries to have my two daughters and have 3 special needs grandchildren and one special needs daughter. I have always loved people. I do not see a stranger. I am a Daughter of the Revolution, and take my country seriously to heart. Also, I am learning ASL and hope to be able to add this population to my clientele. As a small agency, we do not have interpreters for the deaf but do provide a list of practitioners who do. Hiwassee Mental Health, Heidi Ables, and other larger organizations can provide the deaf with interpreter services. We do have Spanish and facilities for those in wheel chairs to aid with those special needs. We work with individuals, groups, families, and do certified classes for anger management, A&D Prevention, and Parenting. We work with ages 4-100 since each of us have special populations in which we prioritize. Please refer to www.healhopecounseling.com to read our articles, blogs/posts and see if we are a good fit. Also, read our bios. We are empirically (evidence) and faith based. Welcome to Heal and Hope Counseling Services. NPI 1184178428, Graduated 2012. Member of CIVITAN, AmVets, Church of Christ, APA, ACA, Good Therapy, Psychology Today, Linked-in, and other. We take many insurances and your fee of the sliding scale will depend upon your annual income bracket which is found on our website.

I enjoy living in the corners and at the fringes of what stereotypical therapy might look like. It is important to me that those who are outcasts, quirky, different, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and the marginalized feel heard. When we work together, I want you to feel like you matter (because you do). If you like the utilization of tarot and oracle cards, we can incorporate that. If you need resources on affirming places to practice spirituality, we can look at those. If you want to talk about kink communities and how to get involved with them, we can find them. Whatever works for you works for me, and I want to help you figure that out.

In this era of technology and quick fixes, it easy for one to think "I did ____wrong, I'm so broken and will never ____." If you are a person thinking this, you are missing a very important fact. You are a person, not a computer, or car, or toy, or any other object that needs to be fixed. Patterns are a different thing altogether. At Breaking Patterns Therapy, we believe that patterns of thought and behavior can be broken or altered in a way to allow you to live the life that you want to be living. We use a combination of therapy types, but at the end of the day, it is the relationship and conversation between the client and the therapist that find the new patterns that make life a little bit kinder. We look forward to helping you discover and remake those patterns.
