Many of my patients are people with multicultural/multiracial families and relationships, immigrants or the adult children of immigrants, people of Asian descent, graduate students, clinicians, or people who still feel empty and unsatisfied after achieving conventional hallmarks of success. Many have experienced shifts in class and/or religious identity who are looking to more deeply understand how their experience of depression, anxiety, or trauma is tied to these transgenerational and cross-cultural forces. With empathy and care, I will partner with you to explore your life, history, culture(s), and the wider world to see how these shape your inner experiences and relationships. In addition to feeling better, my hope is to help you to discover and create new ways of being in the world that feel more alive, flexible, authentic, resilient, and effective. Many people have mixed feelings about starting therapy and finding the right fit is so important for meaningful and long-lasting changes. If this profile has resonated with you in some way, there are no fees or commitments for the initial consultation. If you'd like to meet and learn more, please reach out today or visit my website.

As a trauma-informed, bilingual psychotherapist, I am dedicated to facilitating clients' personal healing. I assist individuals in overcoming patterns of recurring memories, maladaptive behaviors, and negative self-perceptions related to themselves, others, and their environment. My objective is to help clients cultivate ambition, a growth-oriented mindset, and sustained commitment to achieving positive change. Our work will commence by examining the formative messages that shape identity, as well as those imposed by one's surroundings, which may lead to feelings of disconnection from oneself.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Gettysburg, PA

I have an eclectic background of professional experience! I started out working in field of substance abuse, then went into hospital social work, which led me to home hospice work. I did some home-based services with children and families, and then landed in private practice where I feel very grateful for what I get to do as a therapist! I have several years experience counseling at a small liberal arts college with college students with many different presenting issues., such as first gen issues, anxiety, stress, ADHD, over-drinking, family conflicts, relationship struggles, and depression, to name a few. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which has now become my therapeutic intervention of choice! I use a holistic approach considering mind, body, and spirit in all aspects of the treatment approach. I do often offer groups called Processing Pain, a spiritual formation group, as well as a healthy weight loss/self esteem group! I do offer a non-denominational, Christian-based approach to students with whom this is important to.

Most people who look at you might never know how much you are struggling. Your pattern of holding it all in, staying busy, or pulling away from others has worked well enough to get you through… till now. Now, it feels more like you’re caught in an endless maze of thoughts and worries, or like there’s a weighted blanket dragging you down. When anxiety or depression are present, everything in life can feel more difficult. I am a trauma-informed therapist specializing in helping you unpack those things that connect your past and present to build a more fulfilling, authentic future. I take a practical and straightforward approach to therapy and am comfortable with discomfort if it means making progress. As your therapist, I will take the time to see things from your point of view. You know your life best, so I will listen and understand. My sessions are open, honest, and thoughtful. Therapy shouldn't be another place where you have to pretend. I will work to understand the real you and use my experience to help you.
