I have 30 plus years experience in counseling for both mental health and substance abuse. I have taught at the University Of Pittsburgh School of Social Work for four years and have won numerous awards of excellence during my counseling career.
OCD Spectrum is led by Dr. Flower, clinical psychologist and OCD/anxiety disorder expert. He is president of OCD Pennsylvania, the state-wide local affiliate of the International OCD Foundation. We specialize in treating obsessive compulsive disorder and the spectrum of similar disorders such as phobias, test anxiety, social anxiety, general anxiety, procrastination, and hair pulling/skin picking. All of our therapists primarily use evidence-based cognitive-behavioral approaches with their patients. Exposure and response prevention therapy, ERP, is the gold standard treatment for OCD and other anxiety disorders and our therapists are experts in this approach as well. We are exclusively doing tele/video therapy at this point due to COVID.
