Psychiatrist
Bryn Mawr, PA

I provide comprehensive treatment for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD and various other mental health conditions. Psychiatry is a unique field in medical practice and listening to our patients is the key to understanding their needs. We aim to understand you, not just medicate you. The primary focus is on adults between the ages of 20 and 60 who are motivated to make healthy changes in their life, to learn about their condition and to grow in the process. Although medications do play a central role sessions often involve a deeper exploration of the patient's life issues that may be playing a key role. The focus is patient centered mental health. Several conditions are beyond the scope of our practice. Patients with eating disorders, psychosis, body image distortions, gender dysphoria and substance use issues are often referred to more specialized centers. Parenting or custody evaluations are also outsourced as are disability evaluations. I do not participate with any third party insurance carriers. Payment for appointments is expected at the session. The 90 min evaluation is $250, follow-ups are $150. Most forms of payment are accepted. The frequency of appointments varies depending on the complexity of the presentation and patient needs.

Licensed Professional Counselor
Plymouth Meeting, PA

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience as a therapist and clinical supervisor. My approach is non-judgmental and grounded in respect. I work collaboratively with each client to understand their unique situation, struggles, and goals; working to develop the tools needed to improve relationships - including their relationship with themself. It is exhausting to feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or like you’re walking on eggshells with people you love. It is miserable to feel like you’re just faking it every day, not liking yourself, or not knowing how to manage your depression or anxiety. Maybe there has been trauma, or maybe people just don’t understand. For people who have experienced trauma, there is an additional weight: issues with trust, feeling unsafe, triggered, ashamed, not knowing what is wrong. I can help. See more about me at FindingCenter-Anderson.com. I see people in-person or on telehealth. You can call, text, or email me at 215-839-8709 or charlotte.anderson.LPC@gmail.com

Relationships and experiences impact who we are as individuals, partners, and members of groups. Our relational patterns are encoded within us and shape our sense of self as well as the ways we relate to those around us. Things we avoid thinking about or addressing have a habit of emerging again and again. Therapy can help to illuminate, reflect on, process, and metabolize thoughts and feelings that may be preventing us from living the lives we want. I offer a supportive approach to help you manage anxiety, ease fear, and develop tools to build resilience. The transition away from home and into college comes with a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Many students struggle with anxiety and depression, making social connections, managing academic stress, navigating a new school culture, leaving relationships from home, and more. I've partnered with students and families in local independent schools for almost 20 years in addition to working more recently with dozens of students in counseling and psychological services in a rigorous college setting.

Sometimes life sits heavy on our shoulders. This past year has been especially difficult- isolating, ever changing and transforming “normal” as we knew it. We need support along the way to untie knots, approach new solutions and receive warm support, especially during difficult chapters in life. I am a licensed clinical social worker, specializing in helping individuals find solutions with a supportive, problem solving approach. You can expect that therapy with me will prioritize understanding your individual needs and collaboration.

I'm Sandi Christiansen (she/her/hers), a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology at Saint Joseph's University, and my Master's in Clinical & Counseling Psychology at Chestnut Hill College with a specialization in Child & Adolescent Counseling. I have been licensed since 2010, and have been working in the field of mental health and substance use disorders for almost 15 years. I recognize the vulnerability and strength it takes to decide to start going to therapy and begin making changes. Whether you're a college student struggling with friendships, a young adult managing life and its stressors, a parent of a child experiencing anxiety...it's hard to know where to start. I'm here to help you navigate! I utilize strength-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), with elements of a psychodynamic approach (touching on attachment, relationship, and behavior patterns through the lens of object relations theory). I maintain unconditional positive regard for my clients, and offer what I hope will become a safe space for people to talk about difficult things. Together, we will set achievable, measurable goals for your future as well as gaining a better understanding of your past. I pride myself on my professionalism and experience, but most importantly I have been told over and over again that I am relatable, approachable, and non-judgmental. I tell my clients all the time -- I am the expert in the field, but you are the expert on your own life. If any of this resonates with you, we might be a good fit to work together. Please feel comfortable reaching out to set up a complimentary 15 minute consultation. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you find your next step.

Life is hard. Wherever you are currently, our guess is it’s not exactly the way you had envisioned it when you were a kid. Some of that is because of our own choices and mistakes; other parts are from bad hands we were dealt along the way. Regardless of how you got here, we know one thing to be true: You want your life to be different than it is right now. The problem is how to make that happen. There is an endless number of opinions on what you should do and, if we’re honest, it can be overwhelming trying to decide which route is best for you. We believe counseling is a great place to start. In fact, since 2018, we’ve helped more than 1,000 people go from barely getting by to having the tools they need to experience life in a different way than before. While the idea of counseling might be scary, we know how hard life can be and believe you shouldn’t have to face your problems alone. At Lime Tree, we match you with a therapist who is right for you and what you’re dealing with. From there, you and your counselor will create goals for your time together and you will get a personalized plan as you move forward. We walk with you through the entire process with quality and compassionate care the whole way. Getting started is easy: simply reach out on our website or through a phone call. Our Client Care Coordinator will work with you to get you matched with the right therapist and schedule your first session. It’s not healthy to do life alone. Reach out today so you can get unstuck, enjoy the day-to-day, and begin to thrive in life.

The potential for happiness, peace and belonging is within each of us. During times of natural and unexpected life transitions and challenges, it may seem out of reach. Using the tenets of positive psychology, in conjunction with proven mental health counseling approaches, we will work together to cultivate these things in your life and construct the present and future that you envision. Intentionally building a flourishing life – one that fits with your unique strengths and values– will be an important goal of our work together, no matter your age, life circumstances or personal and family history. Areas in which I have experience are developing strategies that promote a more positive mood and lessened anxiety and worry, improving family and peer relationships, navigating life transitions, and exploring the role of spirituality, faith and religious practices in your life. My clinical approach is integrative, primarily drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and positive psychology, but always focused on the unique needs of the whole individual, mind, body, and spirit. With a Master’s degree in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am qualified to integrate clinical counseling with spirituality in a way that respects all faiths and religious practices, wherever you are in your journey of faith, or even if you have no professed beliefs. I am also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I obtained a Master of Applied Positive Psychology. I also hold a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology, which provides me valuable understanding of the role of medications in promoting mental health and achieving positive well-being. Married for 37 years and the mother of two young adults, I approach counseling with an authentic, real-life perspective.
