As you grow, you strive for more out of life, yet may be unsure how to get to where you may wish to be. I will support you on your journey as we explore together your needs, long-term and short-term perceived goals, and best practices for fulfilling them. I use the therapeutic process to empower my clients so that you come to realize and acknowledge the wealth of resources you have both within and without, building on strengths and gaining confidence to accept the past and create your personal story. I provide individual and group therapy to children, teens, adults, and seniors, with extensive experience working with issues related to anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, midlife, parenting, school, caregiver stress, creatively aging, and the second half of life. According to Carl Jung, individuation is the process of self-realization through discovering meaning and purpose in one's life. I provide a safe space for exploration and honoring all aspects of the self-the good, the challenging, that which may be difficult to look at, and everything in between. I use methods such as verbal and non-verbal techniques, art therapy, dreamwork, and imagery as entryways to viewing the unconscious and symbolic content and how these present themselves in conscious life. I am open to the needs of each individual client and invite you to lead me as your guide on your path of growth and evolvement. I hold a Master's degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Long Island University and certificates in Jungian oriented psychotherapy from the CG Jung Institute of San Francisco, which informs my integrative approach to therapy and supports my commitment to creative and holistic healing.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatment for anxiety, OCD-related concerns, phobias, and sleep difficulties Over the past several years, I have noticed that many college students struggle academically due to undiagnosed ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and attention-related concerns that may go overlooked. In response to this need, I have added comprehensive and affordable ADHD diagnostic testing to my practice to help students better understand their difficulties, access appropriate treatment recommendations, and obtain accommodations when clinically indicated for academic settings and standardized testing. In addition to ADHD testing, I frequently work with students experiencing anxiety, obsessive thinking, perfectionism, panic, OCD symptoms, sleep disruption, and stress related to academic performance and life transitions.

During your life, you may experience difficult periods of adjustment related to major life changes and/or losses, difficulty in relationships, and/or cultural/social differences in environmental contexts. These periods in your life may lead to or be related to general difficulty coping with life circumstance, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. I provide a holistic approach to working with clients striving to understand them from an intrapsychic, interpersonal, and sociocultural perspective. In working with you, I endeavor to understand how your personality, relationships, and sociocultural identities and environmental contexts interact to affect your psychological functioning and wellbeing. Personal development through counseling/psychotherapy comes from feeling secure in a relational context to explore one's issues. Primary to this process is the establishment of a nurturing therapeutic relationship/alliance. In establishing a safe environment, I will assist you in experiencing more satisfying attitudes, relationships, and feeling more empowered. A major aspect of my work involves understanding how racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity affects one's psychosocial functioning. Understanding your sociocultural identities and how they inform and affect your life assists me in determining what interventions and techniques will be most appropriate for you.

My theoretical orientation is integrative, which means I use a combination of humanistic, solution-focused, person-centered, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness based /contemplative approaches, stress management, and insight oriented techniques-depending on the needs of the client. I understand how critical the relationship between client and therapist is to the success of the therapeutic experience. As such, my hope always is to provide a warm, empathetic, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment-one in which my clients will feel safe and encouraged to build trust and work towards self-empowerment. To that end, I employ a collaborative, strengths-oriented approach. My style is warm, compassionate, interactive, and I provide ongoing feedback. I believe in the power of therapy and in every individual's right to experience happiness, meaning, and fulfillment. Please contact me if you have more specific questions before making an appointment. I look forward to working with you!

I get that college can be a big life transition and overwhelming at times. I specialize in anxiety and stress and help students who feel stuck in worry, overthinking, panic, or burnout. I can also help with the challenge of new relationships in college and managing old ones as well. I use and teach practical and energetic tools for nervous system regulation so you're not just talking about your stress - you're learning how to manage it in real time. My style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. College is also a time when questions about sexual orientation and gender identity often become more present. I offer an affirming, supportive space to explore whatever is coming up for you - at your own pace. You don't have to navigate transition alone.
