You find yourself stuck in cycles of overhwelm and numbness. Your anxiety is increasing. You've experienced loss or trauma. Maybe you spend hours scrolling, avoiding painful emotions. You crave a life of connection - whether that is with yourself, others, or the world around you. Who I am: I am an experienced mental health therapist with a master’s degree from the University of Chicago. I have a passion for helping people overcome anxiety, navigate life transitions, heal from trauma, and build more fulfilling relationships. Who you are: I love working with all types of clients, but I most often find myself working with people who struggle with perfectionism, people pleasing, boundaries, and healing from complex relational trauma. My therapeutic style: I strive to be real and relatable - the type of person who can see the complexity and nuance of life. What therapy with me looks like: My approach helps people identify unhealthy thoughts and behaviors, most commonly associated with feelings of depression, anxiety, and interpersonal conflict, and provides people with tangible skills that enable you to think and behave in ways that promote inner confidence, strength, and achievement of goals.

You are 20 and you have already cried in three different bathrooms this semester. The friend group from freshman year quietly disappeared. The situationship is in its eighth round of "we are figuring it out." The professor who said your paper was "interesting" in a tone that meant something else has been living in your head for two weeks. You are tired in a way that sleep does not fix. I work with college aged women and young adults who are doing everything they were told to do and somehow feel further from themselves than they have ever been. The girls who got into college on perfectionism and are now watching that same perfectionism eat them alive. The ones who left a religious or controlling home and are realizing, in real time, what it actually cost them. The ones whose body image got worse, not better, when they got here. The ones who keep ending up in the same kind of relationship with a different person and cannot figure out why. The ones who looked around the dining hall and realized everyone else seems to have a friend group already and felt something crack a little. I do EMDR for trauma, which is the work I love most. It is especially useful when something specific from your past keeps showing up uninvited in your present. The breakup that should not still hurt this much. The thing that happened in high school you have never really told anyone. The childhood version of you who learned to make herself small and is still doing it. We can also just talk. My process is flexible and so am I. Some sessions are heavy. Some sessions you tell me about your week and we laugh. Both are doing real work. I am licensed in Oklahoma, Texas, and Massachusetts. If you are at school in one and home for the summer in another, we can keep going without starting over with someone new.

Hi! I’m Amy, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker serving Massachusetts and Michigan with over two decades of experience in mental health. My focus is on helping people build the skills they need to manage life’s ups and downs. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, or loneliness, I’m here to guide you towards healing and personal growth. In our work together, you can expect a compassionate, judgment-free space where we’ll explore your strengths and create meaningful change. I believe everyone has the potential to grow when given the right support, and I’m here to walk that journey with you. You do not have to have it all figured out to start. Life has a way of throwing challenges at us that feel impossible to navigate alone, especially when you are a student trying to find your path or a professional struggling to keep your head above water. I provide a down to earth, judgment free space where you can finally drop the perfect act and focus on what is actually happening. My goal is not just to help you cope, but to help you build a life that feels balanced and authentic. We focus on moving beyond the performance of being fine so you can start living with actual relief. I believe therapy works best as a collaborative partnership. I specialize in helping clients work through high-functioning Anxiety, OCD, Eating Disorders, and Body Image concerns. We look at the root of these struggles while building practical tools you can use every day. From the complexities of relationship conflict and substance use to the unique challenges of Perinatal Mental Health, I provide specialized support for the stages of life that change us the most. Using a trauma-informed and psychodynamic approach, we explore how your past experiences shape your present, helping you gain the insight needed to move forward with confidence. I blend professional expertise with a personal understanding of life’s major transitions. I reject the one size fits all checklist in favor of strategies tailored to your unique goals and experiences. Whether we are addressing family dynamics or the intense reality of becoming a new parent, our sessions are a space for you to be seen and supported without the fluff of You don't have to have it figured out to start. Whether you're a student finding your footing or someone quietly struggling beneath a put-together exterior, I offer a down-to-earth, judgment-free space to drop the perfect act and focus on what's actually going on. I specialize in anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, body image, and relationship stress — and I take a trauma-informed, psychodynamic approach to get to the root, not just the surface. We build tools you can actually use, tailored to your life and goals. Reach out — let's figure out the rest together. *Insurance & Fees* I am an out of network provider and provide a superbill to be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement. My office is happy to assist in verifying your benefits and with initial submission processes to ensure your focus stays on your mental health. I also offer a sliding scale rate if appropriate. Please reach out to learn more about how we can start building a more fulfilling life together.

My work is grounded in the belief that trust is the foundation for healing and growth. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore who you are, understand what’s getting in the way of the life you want, and learn tools to support meaningful change. Growth can be uncomfortable, but it’s also an opportunity to rediscover yourself—and you don’t have to do it alone. In my practice, I support clients navigating neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism), racial and cultural identity, sexual health, problematic porn use, and challenges with executive functioning. Together, we work on building awareness, creating systems that support your unique needs, and developing skills to foster balance and connection in your life. My background spans clinical practice, advocacy, and policy. I’ve had the privilege of serving communities both locally and internationally including work in Mexico and Ghana, and serving as Director of Health Policy and Advocacy at a healthcare advocacy organization focused on Latino communities. These experiences have shaped my commitment to equity, inclusion, and cultural humility. Whether you’re exploring your identity, working through relationship challenges, or learning to create healthier habits and boundaries, I’m here to support you in finding yourself and building meaningful relationships both with others and with yourself that will help you thrive! Reach out for a free 15-minute video consultation so we can decide if I'm the right therapist for you!
