I'm an experienced mental health counselor who meets you where you're at. I have a strong background in trauma focused and substance use work and have worked with clients from many cultures and backgrounds. I have a variety of experience with multiple areas of treatment modalities including issues of sexuality and identity working strongly with diverse communities. My approach is person centered focusing on your strengths as a tool to motivate change. I use a holistic perspective focusing on the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I am proficient in multiple evidenced based modalities including CBT, DBT, Solution focused, motivational interviewing, trauma informed CBT, mindfulness practice, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy.
Have you been in therapy before or are you new to mental health therapy? My goal as your therapist is to meet you where you are at and move together towards the changes you would like to see. I pull from a variety of different styles to address your goals, including skill building, CBT, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed care approaches. I hope to foster a space where you feel seen and heard and where you are able to take care of what has brought you to therapy (or back to therapy) in the first place. I offer weekly, bi-weekly, or, in some cases, monthly sessions at 45 or 60 minutes in length via telehealth. All sessions start with a phone call where we 1) make sure I am the right fit for you, 2) verify your insurance or payment method is active and all set, and 3) schedule you an intake and an ongoing appointment time that works for your schedule. I return all calls and email requests for therapy services and hope that I may be of help to you at this point in time or, at the very least, be able to point you in the right direction.

Mental health needs don't stop because we've got work to do... in fact, they can feel much worse when accompanied by the additional demands of being a college student, being away from home, and not wanting to let your family down.
