I help people understand themselves with profound depth, not just with symptom management. If you're ready to look at patterns, relationships, and what keeps you stuck, this work is for you. Can you dream of a life no longer haunted by your past? Are you feeling limited in your relationships? Contemporary psychoanalysis offers a unique space to understand not only what has happened to you, but how your history continues to shape your inner world, often outside of conscious awareness. I help people understand themselves with profound depth; not just with symptom management. If you're ready to look at patterns, relationships, and what keeps you painfully stuck, this work is for you. Therapy is an emancipatory undertaking: the aim is not to help you become better adjusted to what has constrained you, but to help you become less beholden to it in the long run. I bring warmth, candor, and sustained attention to the room. My specialties include contemporary dream interpretation; dissociation; depression; and trauma, in all its forms.

If you are seeking to gain deeper insight into your patterns of behavior, strengthen your relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change, you have come to the right place. I work with young adults, adults, and couples with specialized experience in treating anxiety and mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, OCD, as well as interpersonal and relational challenges. I believe therapy should be personalized rather than ā€œone size fits all.ā€ Therefore, building trust and cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship are central to my approach. Drawing from attachment-based and psychodynamic perspectives, I help individuals understand how past experiences shape the present. I also integrate skills from evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, cognitive flexibility, and behavioral change. I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Mental Health Studies from New York University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Mount Sinai Services/Elmhurst Hospital, where I received intensive training in providing individual and couples therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns, and my post-doctoral training at the Center for Anxiety, a private practice setting where I deepened my expertise in evidence-based treatment. My prior clinical training includes placements at Weill Cornell Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian and the Parnes Clinic, where I specialized in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, trauma, and relational challenges. My doctoral research examined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health severity, further strengthening my commitment to understanding how individuals adapt and recover in times of crisis. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a supervising psychologist, supporting the professional growth and development of emerging clinicians. Patients often describe me as warm, compassionate, and collaborative, while also appreciating my honesty, directness, and willingness to challenge unhelpful beliefs.I ask thoughtful, meaningful questions designed to foster insight and help individuals better understand their internal experiences. I bring humor and presence into sessions, working alongside patients to identify patterns, build insight, and move toward growth, healing, and their most meaningful goals.

I earned my PsyD (Doctor of Psychology) degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and I have worked in different settings including university/community counseling centers, dual diagnosis treatment centers, and psychiatric hospitals (Austen Riggs Center). I work from a psychoanalytic orientation. This approach emphasizes the importance of both past and present experiences, relationships, emotions, patterns of being, and the unconscious. While it is natural to want to move away from suffering, it is when we give it a voice that healing can begin. Though genetics can play a role in the development of psychiatric problems; symptoms are some of the ways our psyche and body deal with pain that has not been understood, contextualized, and articulated. My goal as a psychoanalytic therapist is to help my patients notice how their symptoms are not accidental experiences to dodge, but rather meaningful communications to explore. Only through this inquiry can patients tap into interpersonal and intrapersonal as well as conscious and unconscious phenomena that have shaped their life and continue to contribute to their suffering.
