We are an evolving collective of mental health professionals who have committed to the pursuit of personal and systemic growth on every level of our society. Our practice began as a friendship and has continued to grow as we have built associations with highly competent, seasoned and relationally oriented therapists. We have become a vibrant community, with a broad base of clinical expertise. However, we remain small enough to be accessible and responsive to each individual we support. Our practice is effective, innovative and totally down to earth. The client and our relationship with them is the central focus of treatment. Our clinical expertise and relational approach work in harmony to provide an ideal foundation for exploring a co-constructed, mutual process of growth.

As a first-generation college student who has navigated the challenges of attending two large universities, I understand how overwhelming and isolating the college experience can sometimes feel. From academic pressure and financial stress to identity exploration and imposter syndrome, college presents unique challenges that can take a toll on your mental health. For many first-generation students, the transition to college comes with the added pressure of being the first in their family to take this journey. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate an unfamiliar system without a roadmap. Balancing school, work, and personal life while feeling the weight of expectations (personal and academic) can be exhausting. Sometimes, it can feel like you're carrying someone else hopes while trying to find your path. I am here to support students facing anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, school-related stress, racial identity and exploration, and the struggles that come with balancing personal identity with academic and social expectations. Whether you're dealing with the stress of coursework, adjusting to campus life, navigating your racial or cultural identity in a predominantly white institution, or exploring your gender and sexual identity in a new environment, I want to create a safe and affirming space where you feel seen, heard and supported.

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, kids, and dog. I enjoy playing sports and seeking out new experiences around the city.
In an individual or group session, I aim to bring a warm, curious, and deeply compassionate energy into the room. I believe that every person has their own unique story to tell, and I strive to honor that by providing personalized therapy to fit your specific needs. I draw mainly from family systems and psychodynamic therapy, which allows me to bring past or subconscious thoughts to the surface and gently guide you toward self-insight.

We started Smart Behavior Solutions with the goal of going against the grain. While most therapy practices use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a means to modify thought patterns to change moods & behaviors, we use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help patients recognize and accept the many aspects of life. ACT helps patients understand who they are and choose the associated beneficial behaviors. These behaviors are based on the most important people & things in life. Our therapists work with you to create change.

Hi, I’m Lyndee! I am a Licensed Social Worker and I want to help provide a listening ear, feedback and different therapeutic approaches to help you be the best version of yourself. I believe that everyone has a unique path in life and has the ability to learn new skills that they can use to improve their wellbeing. I help people who long to feel a connection to their authentic self, but feel held back by life’s challenges. I am most passionate about assisting children, adolescents, teenagers & young adults, ages 5-35 who are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem & life changes. I am also passionate about working with individuals diagnosed with OCD and ASD. In my therapy sessions, I like to meet the client where they are at. Life and challenges look different for everyone. I feel it is important to cater to the individual and their specific goals and needs. Lining out goals and aspirations for therapy is the best way to stay on track and discuss ways to help one’s thought process. I help clients when it comes to problem solving life stressors, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and creating an awareness of their needs and wants in life so that they can live the life they imagined. I know from my own path to wellness that life’s challenges may seem unmanageable at times. However, if an individual is committed to change, they are capable of their full potential and can increase their skills through working on their goals. It is important to remember that we all make mistakes and that no one is perfect. Working through life’s challenges, practicing self-forgiveness and having a growth mindset is something that takes time, commitment and practice. I believe that every individual is capable of change if they are willing to try. I received my bachelors in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University & my masters in Social Work at Dominican University. My goal is to help clients with life changes/challenges, relationship issues, building self-confidence, changing negative thinking patterns & developing positive coping strategies. I believe that “Healing is something that takes time, effort, & practice. Asking for help is a courageous step towards your goals and becoming aligned with your true self”.
