Therapists for college students near 60614
You spend so much time showing up for everyone else that it's easy to forget to care for yourself. Whether you're balancing school, work, family, motherhood, or a major life transition, you may be feeling anxious, emotionally drained, or unsure of who you are outside of the roles you fill. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself and begin creating the life you want. I work with college students, graduate students, and women navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship stress. I have a special passion for supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the emotional changes that come with motherhood, while also helping women build confidence, healthy boundaries, and a stronger sense of self. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and empowering. Together, we'll identify what's getting in your way, develop practical tools to navigate life's challenges, and celebrate the progress you make along the way. I believe healing happens when you feel supported, understood, and encouraged to recognize your own strengths. I'm especially passionate about helping women heal from trauma, including generational trauma, strengthen self-worth, and reconnect with their purpose. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel more confident in your voice, more connected to yourself, and better equipped to move through life's transitions with resilience and intention.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, behavioral challenges, depression, addiction, grief & loss, and trauma. I also help those who are struggling with transitional changes, relationship stressors and identity challenges. Additionally, I help couples' work through conflict and improve communication in their relationship.
I specialize in working with college and university students struggling with ADHD. Whether it’s trouble starting tasks, managing time, or staying organized, I help clients find practical strategies while also holding space for the emotional toll that struggle can bring. I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, offering support that’s compassionate, nonjudgmental, and rooted in evidence-based care. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and skills training. Together, we’ll identify patterns that aren’t serving you and build tools that support focus, regulation, and self-confidence both in the moment and over time. Therapy with me is collaborative and encouraging. We’ll work side by side to break down what feels impossible and create new pathways forward - grounded in your strengths, values, and capacity for change

Hi, I'm Tyler Biggs (MA TIU '26) (he/him), an MA on staff with Spring Tree Counseling and I'm well aware of the pressure to over-perform and under-recover. For men in particular, the expectation to provide some tangible service to the world and "prove" one's worth is a constant theme in my counseling. This can make us excel beyond our dreams, or find ourselves in a nightmare. I've worked in a range of fields from non-profit leadership development to college student mentoring to project management. And over the years, I journeyed alongside many high capacity people—and felt the difficulty of that title myself. For many, all of this is just a burden, manifesting as anxiety, panic, or obsessive-compulsive cycles. My goal is to help men who are straining under the immense pressures of life. For adults navigating transitions—new careers, relationships, responsibilities—these can feel like crises. I walk alongside clients through the beautiful, sometimes brutal, times Most heroes from our favorite stories have an ally guiding them toward healing, both in the world and inside themselves. I'm a co-adventurer, working collaboratively with clients to bind up wounds, manage anxiety, and grow resilience on this journey. Life is hard, and finding healing alone is nearly impossible. But through help, it is possible to thrive.
Many of the students I work with are navigating major life transitions while carrying the weight of stress, anxiety, trauma, family expectations, relationship challenges, or feelings of not quite belonging. I especially enjoy working with first-generation college students, students from immigrant families, women, and neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD. Together, we create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can better understand yourself, build practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with your values. You don't have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy—we can start exactly where you are.
