Envisage Counseling focuses on a plethora of life challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, transitions, and grieving. We have a diverse background that entails working in public health, residential treatment centers, health care settings, community-based centers, crisis agencies, and therapeutic settings. We strongly believe therapy is an important asset in life where one is able to talk about life challenges and work on solutions that allow individuals to be the best version of themselves. Our goal is to create a natural experience by nurturing a safe and welcoming environment, establishing trusting relationships, and promoting a judgement free zone where one can express themselves freely, overcome their challenges, and find balance in their lives. We believe in the philosophy “give yourself space to evolve” (Krista Aoki).

** Telehealth and In-Person appointments.** We all long for our experiences, feelings, and needs to be seen, recognized, and honored. I bring to our work deep respect for your concerns and suffering. I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work together which I approach with curiosity and empathy. I am most interested in what your unique experience is, and I aim to listen deeply on our road toward understanding. A safe-enough space will help us to transform your patterns of experience that interfere with your ability to be compassionate with yourself, to build meaningful relationships, and to work and play creatively, in other words, to live a fulfilling life. I am humbled by the complexity of human existence and feel honored to work with individuals from different racial and cultural backgrounds, sexual and gender identities, as well as spiritual and religious affiliations. In addition to my private practice, I am an Instructor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School (part-time) and supervise psychology interns and psychiatrist fellows. I served as the co-chair of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology Graduate Student Committee helping young clinicians explore and develop their professional identities.

I am a licensed psychologist dedicated to supporting college-aged individuals as they navigate one of the most transformative and challenging periods of life. Whether you’re adjusting to a new environment, managing academic pressures, exploring your identity, or coping with stress, anxiety, or relationships, I provide a safe, confidential space where you can feel heard and understood. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I draw from evidence-based practices to help you build practical skills, deepen self-awareness, and develop resilience. Together, we can work toward managing overwhelming emotions, improving focus and motivation, strengthening relationships, and fostering a greater sense of balance and well-being. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to navigate this stage alone. I welcome new college-aged clients and strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can grow and thrive.

I’m a psychotherapist who is passionate about helping millennial and Gen Z women overcome anxiety. My approach to therapy is to address not only the anxious thoughts you are having but also look at how we can adapt behaviors to help you heal. I introduce skills and then work with you on realistically using them in your daily life. We remain in the mindset of coaching your brain and helping your brain learn to react differently over time. We do this with self-compassion, self-respect, and a smidge of humor. Ok, maybe a lot of humor. In my sessions, you will always be the expert of your life and your needs. I’m down-to-earth, laid-back, and create an environment of zero judgment where you can allow yourself to be vulnerable, laugh, cry, and swear as much as you need to.

Relational trauma can make you feel like you’re not good enough and somehow too much at the same time. You might be hyper aware of others' needs which leaves you feeling emotionally exhausted. You over-function in relationships and struggle with conflict and boundaries due to fear of rejection. No matter what you do, it feels like you’re a supporting character in the cast of your own life. You may have developed these parts of yourself in order to feel safe, but what would life look like if you could shed old scripts and live authentically with emotional balance and self-trust? Let’s explore how trauma and loss may influence the way you interact with the world around you. I prefer a more holistic approach to therapy and don’t believe that we can always think our way out of something. I’m interested in helping you develop healthy relationships with others, but more importantly your relationship with yourself.

To me, therapy is about meeting you where you are at. We can 'sit in the suck' and commiserate but from there we will build up! This is a collaborative relationship; we are colleagues working towards the same goal. I won’t try to impress you with fancy medical jargon or bore you with a lecture. I am a simple person with humble beginnings. I started my career in healthcare at 17 years old as a CNA (Certified nursing assistant) working nights at a tiny rural hospital. I moved into the Chicago suburbs to continue my education but maintained my CNA certificate by working afternoons and nights at a long-term care facility. I graduated with my Master’s in Social work in 2016 from Aurora University. During my initial years as a social worker I worked in mental health case management and hospice. Two years later I received my Licensed Clinical Social Work for the state of Illinois. Not even a month later in 2019 I moved to North Texas where it took me several more year of training before I received my clinical licensure for Texas. During that time I took several different positions to gain a better understanding of all the kinds of work a social worker is capable of. Those positions were intensive outpatient for mental health and addictions, intake, utilization review for a psychiatric hospital and home health. After gaining clinical licensure in Texas, I concentrated my focus to one on one telehealth with adults while they navigate difficult life changes. When I am not working I enjoy cooking, hiking, competing in dog sports, and tending to my plants and home with my spouse, 7 dogs, and one very old rabbit. I volunteer with the local animal shelter working with animals at risk of euthanasia due to behavior issues or medical concerns and in rescue rehabilitating struggling pets. As a clinician I use aspects of cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy and am considered person centered. I regularly provide handouts, suggest videos, or give homework to encourage therapeutic thought and action outside of our sessions. I look forward to meeting you and being part of the healing chapter of your story!

Sometimes words don't cut it. Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking a safe space to explore your inner world? Art therapy uses tools that take traditional talk therapy to the next level by giving you an embodied experience. The heart of my practice is believing people are their own experts. You are the ONLY you with your exact values, experiences, routines, heartaches, and desires. I want you to feel seen, foster a deeper understanding of your journey, and find answers and solace through your own innate intuition. If you're new to art therapy you may not be aware of how creativity can open new doors of understanding and connection. Sometimes we get stuck on a judgmental message from 1st grade that we aren’t “good” at artmaking. Well, I say forget that! You ARE inherently creative and it’s okay to heal using both the logical AND intuitive sides of your brain. You get to lead at your comfort level and I will authentically support you using tools and techniques (whether open-ended or more structured) to guide you. If you are seeking space to work through an issue you're having, improve self-esteem, cope with anxiety or depression, manage stress, deal with relationship or parenting issues, process trauma, or just vent, consider reaching out to me.
