Hi! My name is Katie (she/her), and I’m excited to work together. My goal is to help you feel safe, comfortable, and free to open up at your own pace. I believe our experiences—past and present—shape the way we think, feel, and move through life. By exploring and validating your thoughts and emotions, we can start to untangle patterns, make sense of what feels overwhelming, and work toward healing. I’m here to support you whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, grief, body dysmorphia, sexual and gender identity issues, relationship/work stress, and/or chronic illness. Finding the right words to express what you’re feeling isn’t always easy, and that’s okay. Sessions are tailored to what feels right for you. We’ll draw from psychodynamic, somatic, creative arts, and other trauma-informed approaches. Empathy, warmth, and humor are central to my practice, creating a space where you can explore and grow. Currently, I’m an MSW student at Yeshiva University in New York City and hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. I look forward to meeting you! -- Katie Colton is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offers $30 therapy to Gen Zs by connecting them with therapists-in-training accruing clinical hours.
Tiffany specializes in working with adolescents and young adults. She values helping clients with all aspects of their identity (i.e. race, sexuality, career, faith, social support, etc) and, of course, most mental health diagnoses. Her theoretical approach works to intertwine person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapies, with a feminist and liberation psychology emphasis. She prioritizes connecting with clients relationally to allow room for clients to be the expert on their experience, including their personality, strengths, and value systems. Additionally, with cognitive-behavioral therapy, it is her belief that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected and that by managing to change one, it is likely that the others will follow suit. Her emphasis on feminist and liberation psychology perspectives allows for an exploration of how systemic issues (i.e., mass incarceration or employment laws) are affecting a client’s presenting problems. Tiffany believes in utilizing empowerment to allow for the client to explore the various ways they have power over aspects of their life and the larger community they can change. Because of her background in providing Child-Centered Play therapy, she has found the power in integrating expressive methods (i.e., art or journaling) into her clinical work to go beyond relying upon only traditional talk therapy.

I am passionate about supporting others in their emotional, social, and academic growth. As someone who has always been drawn to helping others, I find immense fulfillment in guiding individuals through challenges and helping them realize their full potential. As a school counselor, I have always believed that every person deserves the opportunity to succeed, not only academically but emotionally and socially as well. During my academic journey, I became fascinated by the ways in which emotional health impacts learning and overall development. This led me to pursue a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences and later, a certification in School Counseling. I have completed internships where I was able to work directly with students, teachers, and families, providing guidance and support in a variety of settings. I aim to equip clients with the tools they need to manage stress, resolve conflicts, and build self-confidence. I am extremely passionate about assisting others in navigating critical life transitions such as dealing with family issues, preparing for grade level changes, and other life transitions. I have helped students cope with stress and anxiety related to academic pressure and social struggles. My approach is always person-centered, grounded in understanding their unique needs and aspirations.

I am a psychotherapist working with adult clients experiencing anxiety and stress related to identity development, relationship conflict, career/academic shifts, current events, acute and chronic health concerns, life changes, etc. The overwhelm, mood changes, and even apathy resulting from these issues can easily exhaust our available coping resources, and therapy sessions can provide additional tools to restore meaning and fulfillment to our lives. My goal is to provide the safe and supportive space needed to explore your emotions, develop new coping skills, achieve your goals, and navigate life transitions with confidence. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to facilitate change, and I work collaboratively with my clients to create personalized treatment plans encouraging growth and wellness. My approach in session is down-to-earth and non-judgmental, and I strive to create a welcoming, healing environment utilizing a variety of therapy techniques. If anxiety and stress are impacting your ability to maintain your relationships, keep up in school or at work, or are weighing you down in other ways, please reach out using the contact information available on this page.
