Welcome, as it takes courage for us to ask for help from others and seek therapy. I am here to tell you that it is okay to ask for help and seeking a professional therapist is the first step in your journey. Life is hard at times, with a multitude of life transitions, from graduating from high school to finishing college, starting a new job, or having feelings of being stuck either personally and/or professionally. Life is not an easy road to travel, but as we travel through different life challenges, sometimes we need help from others and it’s okay to seek help. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is very passionate about the mental health field and each client I have had the pleasure of working with. I am very respectful of everyone’s journey and believe respect, compassion, and sensitivity are very important in building and maintaining a healthy therapeutic relationship. I have experience with working with clients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, stress and major life transitions, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, ADHD symptoms, mood disorders, parent-child relationship issues, behavioral problems, parenting techniques, and grief/loss. My therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I utilize different therapeutic techniques to assist my clients, which ensures each client has a personalized treatment plan. When working with my clients, I like to build a strong therapeutic rapport to gather a clear understanding of the client’s needs, goals they want to work on and/or issues they want to address in therapy, barriers to progression in therapy, and objectives to reach their therapeutic goals. My philosophy in working with each client is that I am here to help you. I hope to work with you, helping you understand where you are in the process of change, motivating you to move towards the next stage, assisting you throughout the therapeutic process, and we move at your pace. The client’s progression in the therapeutic process is to understand and acknowledge that, to a large degree, a successful treatment outcome depends on the amount of energy and effort the client makes. I will always have an open and honest line of communication with clients and be empathetic and very respectful. I look forward to working with you!

I truly believe in the strength and resilience within every person. My goal is to help you recognize that anxiety is just one part of your story—it doesn’t define who you are. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling to express yourself, or battling self-doubt, I’m here to listen and support you. I understand how emotional pain and anxiety can affect every part of your life, and I’m committed to walking with you through those challenges. Let's work together to foster healing, personal growth, and a sense of balance in your life.
Lately, you might feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you—whether it’s anxiety, a painful relationship with food and your body, or the weight of living in a body that’s constantly in survival mode. You’ve learned how to keep going, but something still feels heavy or unfinished. You want to feel more at home in yourself—more grounded, more free. In our work together, we’ll slow down, listen to your nervous system, and gently untangle what’s been holding you back. My approach is holistic and person-centered, meaning therapy is always tailored to you- your story, your needs, and your goals. I draw from evidence-based approaches to meet your individual needs with compassion and flexibility. If you’re working through trauma or distressing life experiences, I offer EMDR to support deep, body-based healing. EMDR can be especially helpful when talk therapy alone hasn’t been enough to move through the stuck places. My practice is rooted in Health at Every Size (HAES), promoting body acceptance and self-compassion. If faith is important to you, I also offer Christian counseling to integrate your spiritual beliefs into the healing process. You deserve support that truly meets you where you are. I’d love to walk with you on your path to healing and growth.

In life we often come to a point where what has been is no longer sustainable. We reach a point where we have to make changes for our wellbeing and/or happiness. We reach a crossroad, and must figure out which direction to take. In my work with clients I help them navigate this process. The work includes exploring options that are available or could be forged. It includes exploring the impact of change on existing relationships. It includes making space for all the feelings, both good and difficult, that come with considering something new. It also includes finally attending to pain or trauma from the past that could be clouding the process for you in the present. I place special emphasis on providing culturally informed care. This means I consider each person’s visible and invisible identities (ethnicity, race, religion, ability status, immigrant identity, sexual orientation, gender identity, and more), and makes room for all aspects of your experiences in the work we do together. Most of my clients hold intersecting marginalized identities. Most people who seek me out also tend to be first generation, immigrant, or a third culture kid. Having lived across 3 continents in my childhood and now belonging to a multiracial family, I am especially equiped to hold space for those who navigate culture and identity in their daily life. Including my predoctoral internship and postdoc years, I worked in university metntal health for 11 years before starting my private practice 2017. This gives me a unique understanding of the student (undergrad, grad, & professional) experience.

Welcome! I help young women who feel unfulfilled, overwhelmed, anxious, and who take on too much because they struggle to say "no." Maybe you notice you place a lot of pressure on yourself and are constantly worried about others figuring out you feel like a mess and an imposter on the inside. This stress, anxiety, and uncertainty has been building up and interfering with your ability to engage in life and feel connected and happy. In therapy, we can work on exploring the root of what brings you to therapy and build skills that help you communicate more effectively, feel more confident and emotionally balanced, and feel more grounded and connected to yourself and others. We go at your pace and prioritize your goals, though I may challenge you here and there if I see you underestimating yourself or falling back into old behaviors. If you're interested in finding out more about my style, you can check out my website. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations so we can chat and see if we'd be a good fit before you schedule your initial session. I'd love to hear from you! *Group* I also offer a regular Therapeutic Book Club, in which we read the latest mental health/wellness books, and I offer a women's process group for women with anxiety.

I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults and have experience in many different settings such as the local school system and most recently at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. I strive to welcome clients with warmth and non judgment and create a space that feels safe for honesty and growth. My specialties are working with those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, chronic illnesses/pain, grief and life transitions. I believe the relationship is the most important piece of the therapy process and plan to meet you wherever you feel comfortable, whether that is using art or taking a walk outside. As your therapist, I hope to empower you and to provide a safe place to process life’s journey, whatever that looks like for you.
I provide therapy to young adults who are coping with the stressors of college. I routinely help people who are coping with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and impulse control problems. In addition to my general practice, I specialize in helping people who have a history of sexual abuse and/or sexual acting out. I also conduct psychological evaluations that can assist with understanding the root of the problem and can clarify a person's diagnosis, which can help with determining what type of treatment and/or medication may be needed. There are many other therapists in my group private practice that offer additional therapy services such as substance abuse treatment, trauma treatment (including EMDR), treatment for ADHD, treatment that addresses gender identity concerns, etc. The cost of therapy depends on which therapist you see (master's level versus doctoral level). In addition to the insurances listed below, I am also on Wellcare and CareSource.
