We all hold the inner knowledge of what is best for our lives but sometimes need a gentle guide to help us find our path. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic space where you will feel comfortable expressing difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences, whether that be through traditional talk therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) or psychedelic integration work. EMDR is an evidenced based modality that assists in resolving distress related to past traumas. Trauma is not always what happened to you but sometimes what did not happen, such as physical or emotional neglect.

I believe that in order to truly be able to help my clients I must always present as my authentic self. What that means is that you can expect me to share my honest thoughts and opinions, to be direct & concise, to incorporate humor as often as possible, and I won’t shy away from discomfort or conflict. While at the same time balancing that by providing you with unconditional positive regard, empathy, and support. I 100% believe that in order for therapy to be effective the client-therapist relationship must be genuine and both parties must carry mutual respect and trust for each other. This is something I strive to create and build-up starting from our first several interactions; as well as something I work hard to maintain up until our very last session. I am trauma informed therapist that specializes in working with professionals in the helping field (ie. first responders, educators, nurses, therapists, etc), with parents and children with behavioral issues, and have extensive experience working with BIPOC, immigrants, and AAPI communities. In our first session, we'll talk through what brought you in and get clear on what you want to walk away with — so we're aligned on what this space is for and what my role will be. Together we'll build a plan with intention and direction, not open-ended sessions that drift. Over time, the goal isn't just to feel less anxious or triggered. It's to trust yourself again, hold your story with compassion, and move through the world without needing to translate yourself.

We are happy that you are here, and we hope that we will get to walk alongside you for this portion of your life! While we cannot change the past, or sometimes the external stressors of our present lives, we can impact our trajectory going forward. And here at KCAPS, we believe in supporting people to do just that. Together we may move between past, present, and future… healing, recovering, processing, liberating, exploring, problem-solving, building, empowering, etc depending on your goals and your needs. With a strengths-based, culturally-centered, trauma-informed, collaborative approach, KCAPS staff flexibly utilize various treatment modalities that are evidence-based. We will work together, incorporating both your expertise and ours to move toward your identified treatment goals. Parts of life can be hard and we all could use a little help sometimes. It can take a lot of strength and courage to lean into that humanness, and allow for others to show up for us in that space of vulnerability. We would be honored to meet you there… contact us now!

Life rarely moves in a straight path, and the transitions, pressures, and losses that come with it can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. As a clinical social worker and therapist, helping people navigate the challenges that arise throughout adulthood is work I find deeply meaningful. Whether you're managing the weight of a major life change, working through strained relationships, struggling with work-life balance, facing caregiver stress, or searching for a renewed sense of purpose, you don't have to navigate it alone. These experiences can stir up anxiety, sadness, frustration, guilt, isolation, or hopelessness, and that's exactly where meaningful support can make a difference. Together, we work to transform those challenges into opportunities for growth and a more fulfilling, joyful life. At the heart of effective therapy is a strong, trusting relationship, and building that with you is my first priority. Empathy, authenticity, and genuine connection are not just values I hold; they are the foundation of how I show up for every person I work with, because you deserve a space where you feel truly heard and respected, and where open, honest dialogue is always welcomed. As we work together, I draw from evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs, preferences, and goals. That might look like broadening perspective, building resilience, practicing self-compassion, or challenging the thoughts that keep you feeling small. Whatever your path forward looks like, my aim is to be a supportive partner dedicated to your healing journey as you reclaim your sense of agency, practice self-compassion, and deepen your connection to yourself and others. My path to becoming a therapist began with a feeling of restlessness after a trial run at retirement. Reflecting on my life, I realized there was still more to give, just as so many had given to me along the way. Throughout my own journey, the attentive listening and encouragement of others kept me hopeful during fearful and uncertain times. Phrases like "this too shall pass," "one day at a time," “don’t borrow worry,” and "to thine own self be true" became anchors when doubt and insecurity crept in. Those experiences shaped my deep belief in the power of being truly heard. Before this chapter, I spent my career in management and leadership roles at innovative medical device companies, guiding diverse teams through change and helping develop products that improved patient access and outcomes. That work taught me the enduring importance of empathy, trusted communication, and adaptability. Those same qualities now live at the center of my therapeutic practice. In my free time, you'll most likely find me soaking up the Colorado sun with family and friends, hiking, skiing, traveling, or simply following wherever curiosity leads

Life is tough. I see you wanting to get more quality out of your life. You might be the gladiator of a high achiever dragging around anxiety, autism, ADHD or a difficult past. Or maybe life got harder than that lately - like putting your feet on the floor is too hard today. Listen, I've been there myself. You're safe here. I got you. Let's get curious about you. You are the expert of your life; I'm right here with you handing you tools. Yes, I have the ground-breaking therapies. You’re the expert on your life. I’m here to walk alongside you and offer tools that fit. I often use CBT and DBT for practical work. I'm currently in training for EMDR. Next Steps: Just say hey. I'll respond less than a couple hours during my office hours. Or call the number and leave me a message. If I'm not in session or out of office, I'll answer your call myself. No couch. No traffic. Therapy is a chat by videocall - bring your own cat and coffee.

I am dedicated to supporting people as they navigate through the new chapters that pregnancy and parenthood bring. I'm certified and trained through Postpartum Support International as an advocate to increase awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms. I also specialize in grief and loss, infertility, and adoption. In addition, I offer services and support to individuals and couples wanting to improve their relationships with themselves, their partners and/or their family. I specialize in working with those who are experiencing; depression, anxiety, grief, relational challenges, self-identity issues and trauma. My goal as your therapist is to provide you with an environment where you feel heard and understood. I value creating relationships with my clients and want to build a trusting space for you. I work in collaboration with you to find skills that work for you on an individual basis; actively working towards moving your life in a direction that you desire. Unlike traditional talk-therapy, our work is present-focused, where we work on identifying your values and goals, and look into how they fit into your life. It’s common to believe that you should be able to handle whatever life throws at you on your own, however having support and guidance along the way can make the learning curve much less intimidating.

A clinically focused therapist, I specialize in a trauma-informed approach to managing burnout, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and the many complications that come with queer and neurodivergent identities. I often work with adolescent and adult trauma survivors, queer and transgender folks, and anyone else who feels left behind by the white, able-bodied, neurotypical, hetero-centric, and/or cisgender expectations of our society. You may have spent a long time navigating a world that wasn't built with you in mind. Maybe you're wondering whether the things keeping you up at night are real and valid, or if they're just "all in your head." Maybe you've recently received or suspect a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism, or OCD, and you're trying to make sense of what that means for your life. Or maybe you're working toward living out your queerest, most authentic self, and you're looking for a space where that journey is celebrated rather than questioned. No matter what brings you here, my work is grounded in transparency and accountability, and in the belief that every human being carries a natural capacity to heal and grow. That belief shapes how I show up for you: as a forward-thinking, inventive partner who takes your experience seriously. Everyone has something to be proud of, a vast and sometimes hidden greatness that is uniquely theirs. I look forward to seeing yours, and helping you build a life you'd never imagined you could live. At the center of my work is the belief that no matter how different your brain, body, or soul might seem to others, or how long you've been living in survival mode, it is possible to build a life you can genuinely thrive in. That belief isn't a slogan; it's the foundation of my work with each and every patient. Resilience, adaptation, and self-acceptance are the goals we work toward together. To get there, I draw from a wide range of approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems, narrative therapy, and attachment theory — selecting and combining tools based on what fits you, not a predetermined framework. My style is strengths-based and highly individualized to your background and goals, supporting you in a judgment-free environment as you build a happiness that is uniquely yours. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own gender transition in 2021. At what was the most fearful and uncertain time of my life, I was fortunate to have guides and mentors who helped me not just understand, but love who I was. They taught me to seek my joy in everything, and believed I was beautiful before I could see it myself. Since then, I've wanted nothing more than to give that same gift to others: authentic care, patience, and the vision to see that each of us, no matter how hurt or how different we might be, is a beautiful thread in the rich tapestry of life. When you sit across from me, that history comes with me, as a reminder of what it means to be seen by someone who truly believes in you, and as a commitment to being that person for you. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games with my friends, sword-fighting at local LARP clubs, carving and crafting various leather gifts, and living a very gay domestic life with my partners, who love taking me out to KBBQ on the weekends.
