If you’re feeling overwhelmed, lost, or uncertain about your next steps, I’m here to support you in finding clarity, healing, and meaningful change. My experience spans group practice settings, inpatient psychiatric and eating disorder treatment, and middle schools, giving me insight into a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. At the heart of my work is the belief that human struggles are rooted deeply in our relationships, both with others and with ourselves. That’s why I offer a warm, non-judgmental space for adults and couples where you can bring your whole self to therapy. Areas of expertise include relationships, divorce, professional development and support, health-related concerns, women's health including perimenopause and menopause, and major life transitions. Whether you’re navigating a significant life change, struggling with difficult emotions, or seeking support through a health or career transition, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. I aim to foster a sense of clarity and empowerment, helping you move forward in your life with greater confidence and connection. My approach blends attachment theory, emotion-focused therapy, family systems, and solution-focused techniques to help you process uncomfortable emotions, shift perspectives, and break free from old patterns. I was inspired to become a therapist through my own journey in the therapeutic space, and my educational background reflects that same passion for growth and understanding. That path includes a Master's in Counseling from Adams State University (2024), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Denver College of Nursing (2019), and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Colorado at Denver (1995). Additionally, I hold a Parent Coaching Certification from the Jai Institute for Parenting (2021), which strengthens my ability to support patients in fostering healthy relationships with the people in their lives. Personally, I understand the complexities of relationships and family life. I have experienced divorce both as a child and as an adult and know firsthand the joys and challenges of belonging in a family. Parenting is my greatest accomplishment, and I continue to strive for growth in that role. My professional journey has taken me through diverse fields, including real estate, oil and gas, entrepreneurship, adult education, nursing, and counseling, all of which inform my perspective and ability to connect with a wide range of patients.

Greetings! I provide psychotherapy for adults and I specialize in treating PTSD/trauma-related disorders, anxiety, neurodevelopment difficulties, OCD, and addiction, and have experience with a wide range of other challenges. I also offer limited clinical assessments on a case-by-case basis, including cognitive and academic functioning. I work to create space for anyone who feels I may be of some help in exploring their personal experience and challenge themselves to confront their struggles. Above all, I work collaboratively with each individual to tailor therapy for their optimal healing. My background is in clinical health psychology, so I consider factors of both body and mind throughout treatment. I integrate trauma-specific, psychodynamic, exposure, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral interventions, and incorporate neurobehavioral principles throughout. I also have considerable training in neuropsychological and psychological assessment. I see therapy as an endeavor to support others in discovering their own capacity for healing. I see human beings as complex, dynamic, multifaceted beings. Consequently, addressing mental health concerns requires robust, innovative methods for creating change. Above all, I work to support folks in finding ways to not simply address problems, but also thrive.

“I feel stuck and alone” “I want to feel better but I don’t know how to get there” “I am tired of the way I have been living and I need something to change” “I don’t know why I feel this way” You are not alone. I am here with you and want to support you through this. Therapy is not always the first idea that pops into our heads when it comes to dealing with life’s stressors; and asking for support in some of our most hardest times can be challenging. Or maybe you have tried and had a not-so-helpful experience. Each one of us has lived different life experiences and faced hardships that can leave us feeling alone, lost, overwhelmed, and possibly even helpless. While I don't aim to “fix” or “solve” these hardships, I do aim to validate each experience and emotions that comes from these challenges and support you in gaining control of your life again through increasing your self awareness and self-acceptance to help you reach whatever “better” look and feels likes for you.

Is pain from your past or worries about the future making it hard to enjoy the present? Do you want to have more fulfilling relationships with others? Hi there, my name is Meg, and I am happy you found my page! My goal is to guide you in rediscovering and accepting all the parts of what makes you, you. We achieve this together through compassionate care that helps you build confidence, find your voice, and figure out what really matters to you, whether that’s in your relationships, in your work, or how you spend your time. I also help you recognize patterns you’ve been stuck in, habits that don’t serve you anymore, or ways of being that might have been passed down through family, so you can break free from those cycles. I welcome you to my therapeutic space and am excited to get to know you! My therapeutic approach creates a space where you can share your stories while feeling truly heard and understood. Together, we look at what’s working in your life and what isn’t, then figure out how to make changes that feel true to who you actually are. Part of that often means learning to let go of and/or say no to things that drain you, and yes to things that feel meaningful. In this supportive space, I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in each of my sessions. I further tailor care to focus on skill building through Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), explore patterns of behavior/change through Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma processing with Internal Family Systems (IFS), and build tolerance with anxiety-provoking situations through Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as needed. Aside from building the tools to navigate symptoms and experiences related to mental health diagnoses, my ultimate goal is for you to feel realigned to your authentic self, to feel powerful and confident, and to find meaning in your life. Mental health wasn’t something that was prioritized or openly talked about in my family, so it wasn’t until early adulthood that I first began learning about therapy as a volunteer with AmeriCorps. My own experience in therapy eventually inspired me to become a therapist, and I’m deeply grateful for everything that journey has taught me and the ways it has given back to my life. Outside the office, you might find me wandering around a local thrift store, playing with my cat Phil, watching Survivor with my husband, drinking coffee and walking through the Botanic gardens, crocheting, or enjoying other crafty activities that help keep me balanced.

Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to hold everything together while also figuring out who you are and what you truly need. I'm passionate about supporting young adults and adults as they navigate identity, relationships, and major life transitions, with a particular commitment to affirming care for those within the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unsure of where to begin, you don't have to face it alone. I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward building a life that feels more aligned, authentic, and fulfilling. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when you feel safe enough to show up as your full, authentic self. Together, we'll explore the patterns, thoughts, and emotions that may be keeping you stuck, while also building practical tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your own story. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), always tailoring our work to what feels most relevant and supportive for you. Above all, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating or clinical. It can, and should, feel like a place where you are met with honesty, connection, and care as you begin to make sense of your experiences and move toward the changes that matter most to you. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own experiences with identity and mental health, experiences that deepened my commitment to creating a space that is affirming and inclusive for others. I believe that growth comes from both insight and action, and I'm here to walk alongside you as you navigate that process.

From a young age, I have been interested in promoting health and wellness and followed my passion into a career in healthcare. I received my Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2010. After graduation, I was selected as a National Health Service Corp Scholar and spent two years serving in a rural underserved community. This experience gave me a strong foundation in treating patients of all ages in outpatient and inpatient settings, but while living in a small community, I realized that I was still a city girl at heart. In 2012 I relocated back to Denver and have been practicing in the Denver metro area ever since. Through practicing in family medicine, I have realized how much our mental health affects our well-being and found that my true passion is in promoting mental health wellness. I have a special interest in gut health and how our gut microbiome impacts not only our mental health but our overall wellness. I believe in an integrated approach to behavioral health care that includes nutrition, exercise, meditation, and sleep education. My goal is to collaborate with each patient to form an individualized approach to care. In my spare time, I am an avid runner and have completed multiple marathons including the world-famous Boston Marathon. On the weekends I enjoy taking my love of running to the trails and when I am not outside enjoying Colorado’s sunshine, you can find me in the kitchen trying new recipes and finding ways to incorporate more plants into my diet. I look forward to partnering with you on your healthcare journey!
