Hi there! My name is Mark (he/him). I am a licensed therapist in Colorado & Ohio. My favorite population to work with is college students — it's an exciting age of discovering your self and the world around you, but it can also be a season of hardship, disappointment, and overwhelm. My undergrad days were some of the most formative of my life, but I also know firsthand how difficult & lonely it can be to juggle the expectations of academics, relationships, finances, and more — not to mention your own developing identity and values. I am here to help those who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out. I have extensive experience helping young adults in the U.S. and Europe navigate these crossroads. My background in emotionally focused therapy and neurofeedback can help you safely & effectively lean into the discomfort you are currently facing (you need to feel it to heal it!) and develop the courage to continue forward towards the path you desire. You have the answers within you; sometimes we just need some encouragement and direction. Interested in working together? Let's get in touch! I happily offer a free 15-minute phone consult. It would be an honor to walk alongside you during your college journey.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable exploring what’s going on in your life while developing tools to manage stress, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. Whether you’re facing anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a place to gain clarity, develop new skills, and move forward with confidence.

Prior to private practice, I worked in college counseling for three years. My style as a therapist is to provide much warmth, curiosity, compassion, and humor to help each client engage in a productive way of understanding themselves and their mental functioning. I take a holistic approach that encompasses the mind and the body. Although I work with many presenting concerns, I have noticed a commonality of how people are self-critical and subsequently experience declines in their mental health and relationships. I work with each client to develop self-awareness and coping skills to help decrease their mental health distress.

Healing and growth takes place in the context of relationships - in our relationship with ourselves, and in our relationships with others. Unfortunately, our relationships can sometimes become distant, disconnected and a place of conflict, leaving us with unmet needs and just feeling “stuck.” We don’t feel safe asking for what we need, and maybe don’t even know what we need ourselves. The therapeutic relationship in counseling provides an authentic and safe place in which healing can begin to take place. My goal is to provide you with a space where you feel seen and heard; where you feel safe to explore your story and your experiences; a space where you can work through some of the hard things in a way that moves you towards a deeper sense of wholeness and connection. If you'd like to find out if this is a good place for you to address some of these things for yourself, reach out and we can schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if it would be a good fit!

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), my work spans the full range of psychiatric care, from supporting individuals through acute mental health crises to helping people manage ongoing conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and ADHD. With experience in acute psychiatric settings, I understand how overwhelming severe symptoms can feel, and I'm here to help you find stability and a clearer path forward to improve your quality of life. My commitment is to treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis. Whether you're navigating a difficult season or working toward long-term health, I look forward to being a compassionate, collaborative partner in your care, supporting you as you work toward the goals that matter most to you. Rooted in psychopharmacology and evidence-based psychiatric care, my approach is warm, personalized, and built around you. Every treatment plan is shaped by your unique experiences, challenges, and goals because there's no one-size-fits-all path to recovery. You can always expect a collaborative environment where you feel heard, informed, and empowered to make meaningful decisions about your care. By combining evidence-based tools with a genuinely patient-centered perspective, I aim to help you find stability, build on your strengths, and move toward the kind of meaningful recovery that genuinely improves your quality of life. Growing up, I witnessed how difficult it could be for people to seek support when conversations about mental health were limited or misunderstood. That experience planted within me a deep desire to help change the narrative and shine a light on mental health in communities where stigma kept people from getting the care they deserved. It's what drew me to psychiatric nursing and what continues to drive me today. Alongside clinical expertise, I bring empathy and cultural sensitivity to every patient encounter, grounded in the belief that everyone deserves access to support, healing, and hope. Nature, travel, and good food are some of my favorite ways to recharge. Spending time outdoors and exploring new restaurants keeps me curious and connected to the world around me. More recently, joining a recreational football league has been a great way to challenge myself, build community, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

A clinically focused therapist, I specialize in a trauma-informed approach to managing burnout, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and the many complications that come with queer and neurodivergent identities. I often work with adolescent and adult trauma survivors, queer and transgender folks, and anyone else who feels left behind by the white, able-bodied, neurotypical, hetero-centric, and/or cisgender expectations of our society. You may have spent a long time navigating a world that wasn't built with you in mind. Maybe you're wondering whether the things keeping you up at night are real and valid, or if they're just "all in your head." Maybe you've recently received or suspect a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism, or OCD, and you're trying to make sense of what that means for your life. Or maybe you're working toward living out your queerest, most authentic self, and you're looking for a space where that journey is celebrated rather than questioned. No matter what brings you here, my work is grounded in transparency and accountability, and in the belief that every human being carries a natural capacity to heal and grow. That belief shapes how I show up for you: as a forward-thinking, inventive partner who takes your experience seriously. Everyone has something to be proud of, a vast and sometimes hidden greatness that is uniquely theirs. I look forward to seeing yours, and helping you build a life you'd never imagined you could live. At the center of my work is the belief that no matter how different your brain, body, or soul might seem to others, or how long you've been living in survival mode, it is possible to build a life you can genuinely thrive in. That belief isn't a slogan; it's the foundation of my work with each and every patient. Resilience, adaptation, and self-acceptance are the goals we work toward together. To get there, I draw from a wide range of approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems, narrative therapy, and attachment theory — selecting and combining tools based on what fits you, not a predetermined framework. My style is strengths-based and highly individualized to your background and goals, supporting you in a judgment-free environment as you build a happiness that is uniquely yours. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own gender transition in 2021. At what was the most fearful and uncertain time of my life, I was fortunate to have guides and mentors who helped me not just understand, but love who I was. They taught me to seek my joy in everything, and believed I was beautiful before I could see it myself. Since then, I've wanted nothing more than to give that same gift to others: authentic care, patience, and the vision to see that each of us, no matter how hurt or how different we might be, is a beautiful thread in the rich tapestry of life. When you sit across from me, that history comes with me, as a reminder of what it means to be seen by someone who truly believes in you, and as a commitment to being that person for you. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games with my friends, sword-fighting at local LARP clubs, carving and crafting various leather gifts, and living a very gay domestic life with my partners, who love taking me out to KBBQ on the weekends.

Finding the right support is a meaningful first step, and I'm glad you're here. As a Limited License Counselor Candidate, I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, and depression, working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Whether you're navigating a difficult season, working through persistent worry, or simply looking for a space to grow, I'm here to walk alongside you. Empathy, integrity, and collaboration are at the heart of how I show up for every person I work with. Together, we'll build insight, develop practical coping skills, and work toward the meaningful growth you're looking for. When you come to a session, you can expect warmth, encouragement, and a genuine sense of collaboration. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), we'll work together to build practical coping skills that help you better manage anxiety, depression, emotional stress, and life transitions. But beyond the modalities, what matters most to me is that you feel truly heard. Your unique experiences, values, and goals shape everything we do together. Care here is strengths-based and tailored to who you are, because you deserve more than a one-size-fits-all approach. You deserve a space that feels personal, safe, and empowering, and that's exactly what I'm committed to creating for you. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as an elementary school teacher, where I witnessed firsthand the growing need for mental health support among students and their families. These years were transformative, deepening my understanding of how compassionate, accessible care can change lives and reinforcing my commitment to making a real difference in the people I serve. That purpose drives everything I bring to our sessions now, including a strong foundation of empathy and a genuine investment in your well-being. Reading, biking, and spending time with family are some of the things that bring me joy and keep me grounded. Visiting Michigan and spending time along the shores of Lake Huron holds a special place in my heart, connecting me to the people and places I love most.

Do you feel worried or insecure, overwhelmed or numb? Do you feel scared or anxious about social interactions or events happening in the world? Are you struggling to feel able to navigate transitions and stressors that you are facing in life and school? I want you to know that you are not alone in how you are feeling and that I genuinely believe you can find connection, calm, and confidence through engaging in therapy. I also want you to know that I have faced similar challenges to the ones above and have found great healing through interventions that I offer in my therapy practice. My approach in therapy is to constantly be aware of the "whole picture" that impacts each person (oppressive systems, laws, history, world events, family systems, education systems, and relational interactions) while also focusing on the "here and now" of what you are experiencing. The majority of sessions with me are outdoors, in public parks and on trails, to encourage re-connecting to yourself and to the natural world. I also offer sessions indoors and online when the weather does not allow us to be outdoors safely. I am an active participant in each session, whether I am listening, guiding a mindfulness or experiential activity, or being with you in the emotions and experiences that are coming up. My hope is that through our work together, you will be able to re-connect to yourself, find grounding and a sense of peace by connecting to nature, and learn concrete tools and practices that help make navigating daily life more manageable. I recognize that this work can be difficult, takes time, and does not have a clear map. I believe in walking through the journey together, wherever it may lead, with curiosity and empathy along the way.

You deserve a space where your story is honored, your pain is witnessed, and your healing feels possible. As a trauma-informed therapist, I work with individuals and couples who are ready to reconnect with themselves, process what’s been holding them back, and move forward with clarity and self-trust. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all — and it shouldn't be. I meet you exactly where you are, with compassion and curiosity, and we collaborate to create a path forward that feels authentic to you. I hold the belief that you are the expert of your life; my role is to help you access the wisdom and resilience you already carry within. In our work together, we’ll gently explore how past experiences show up in your present — in your thoughts, your relationships, and in your body. I integrate EMDR, somatic approaches, parts work, mindfulness, and nervous system education to help you not just understand yourself, but feel more whole and empowered in daily life. Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected — and leave feeling more confident, self-aware, and capable of navigating life with intention. I offer gender-affirming care and a welcoming, inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ clients, BIPOC, and anyone seeking healing without judgment. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Together, we’ll build the foundation for the change you’re ready for.

Hi there! My name is Lizzy, and I’m so glad you’re here. As a Highly Sensitive Person, I’m passionate about working with individuals who feel things deeply—those who are attuned to their environments, sensitive to others’ emotions, and sometimes struggle to regulate their own big feelings. I also support people who experience anxiety, including situational anxiety. Maybe you don’t feel anxious all the time, but you notice it spiking in certain situations—like when meeting new people, navigating your romantic life, or worrying about failing or disappointing others. I have extensive experience working with individuals whose brains are still developing their emotional regulation skills, and I truly love what I do. This work not only helps me continue to grow as a professional, but also supports others in building resilience, self-awareness, and authenticity.
