Hi!
I'm Shayda Ewalt, a licensed trauma-informed therapist who works with college students struggling with difficult life experiences. Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like talk therapy hasn’t helped the way you hoped? Healing from trauma often takes more than just talking — it involves your whole body, nervous system, and emotions. I specialize in evidence-based trauma therapies like EMDR, Brainspotting, and Somatic Experiencing to help you process painful experiences and move toward lasting relief.
I support individuals working through PTSD, complex trauma, childhood wounds, and difficult relationships. I also work with survivors of sexual assault, toxic or abusive relationships, and those dealing with anxiety, depression, panic, or suicidal thoughts. This type of work can help you reconnect with yourself, feel safer in your body, and begin to heal.
As a feminist, trauma-informed therapist, I recognize how systems of oppression, inequality, and societal expectations shape our experiences and impact our well-being. I offer culturally sensitive care that honors your lived experience - creating a space where you feel truly seen, valued, and understood.
Above all, my priority is building safety and trust. I bring warmth, compassion, and authenticity to each session. If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit!
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
