In a world that can sometimes feel very critical, oppressive, and unsafe, where there’s systemic barriers trying to diminish your identity, culture, and expression, therapy should be a space where you can be unapologetically yourself. As a queer Latino man, I know firsthand how important it is to have therapy as a safe space. I want all of my clients to experience a therapeutic environment where you can be real about what’s going on in your life and in our world.

I work with teenagers, young adults and individuals navigating the strong emotions and anxiety that may arise going through life adjustments and transitions. I am passionate about helping you through big changes like starting and going to college, transitioning into the job market, and moving to a new location. In our work together, we’ll address feeling overwhelmed by the emotions and responsibilities of adulting, maintaining healthy relationships, and establishing the life you want for yourself.

Since I also have a background in media, I also am passionate about how media and pop culture can influence our mental health and thought processes, and our expectations of how life, career, and relationships should be. I am passionate about helping my clients understand how the media is impacting their mental health, how we can get free from its influence, and have boundaries in a world where the media is constantly informing our lives/our day-to-day.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), a Latino-American, and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am deeply committed and understand the importance of providing affirming care for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals addressing discrimination, internalized stigma, and the emotional impact of systemic oppression. Together, we will build on the resilience you already possess, moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you as you strengthen and celebrate your sense of self. You deserve to be empowered to live the life that you desire, being true to who you are.

In my practice, I integrate psychodynamic therapy to help uncover patterns rooted in past experiences and relationships, allowing for deeper insight and long-term growth. I also draw from Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you relate and navigate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions while moving toward the values that matter most to you.

You deserve to find happiness, peace, empowerment and healing in your life despite the hardships you have experienced. Therapy can be a transformational space for self-expression, regardless of background or past experiences. I am here to help provide an empathetic, collaborative, and an authentic space for you to be supported and safe in your therapy journey. If you’re ready to explore, heal and strengthen your sense of self, I would be honored to support you.
