Lisa Bumpus

Hi there! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registerd Drama Therapist who has been practicing in community-based mental health for 3 years with additional work completed in inpatient hospital and school-based settings. Throughout my time in mental health, my main focus has been working with individuals across the lifespan who have experienced trauma and ruptures to sense of self, as well as those with a history or current relationship to navigating suicidal ideation or self-harm.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, creative, and compassionate with an emphasis on expressive and integrative, person-centered modalities. I combine techniques like Play Therapy, Drama Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and traditional talk therapy to help you heal from past experiences, develop new coping skills, and increase your understanding of yourself.

Starting at our first call, you will be in the driver's seat! I strive to foster a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing while secure enough to honor your needs. From there, we’ll co-create a space that aligns with moving toward your goals!
