Emily Arai
Welcome! Thanks for visiting my profile. I am a clinically licensed social worker in California and Massachusetts, and am privileged to help individuals manage life's challenges and the complexities of being human. My goal is to create a safe, warm, relational space where you can explore your experiences, identity, goals, and spark your inherent capacity for healing and growth.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual trauma, relationship issues, and clinical supervision. I have an eclectic approach and draw on various evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, EMDR, and narrative therapy.
I believe seeking support and asking for help are strengths. Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and begin building trust. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you hope to get out of therapy, and any questions or concerns you might have about the process.
